Family was very inviting. Authentic experience. Lovely. My 10 year old son and family really enjoyed. I would highly recommend. We enjoyed learning about the small village and walking down to the beautiful river. The cooking class was delicious and fun as well. Family was very kind and patient.

Amazing visit. So interesting and fantastic how these people live so well. They grow everything and it’s a very happy and close knit community. We had a great guide Tonik was so informative and obviously very proud of his village.

A truly amazing one of a kind experience full of culture. The tour guide and his wife welcomed us with open arms along with the rest of the village who we crossed paths with. During the experience we were taught how to make two different style offerings, one of which we then used that day and the second which helped them for the coming day to make their offerings. Whilst going from leaves and flowers to an offering, we were taught the meanings behind the whole process and the positioning of each flower/ offering, the balancing of good and bad. We were given a choice of tea or coffee and given traditional rice snacks during this time, and dressing in sarongs ahead of the water blessing. We then walked down to the temple where we were able to give our offerings and take part in the water blessing, taking part it the 5 prayers prior to the water blessing itself. During the water blessing we were given two options; submerge in the holy water or receive splashes of the holy water from the tour guide. Honestly a truly immersive experience and my favourite part of experiencing Bali so far. Seeing the traditional working methods and the genuine day to day life of Balinese people. Highly recommend this experience with Ubud Activities

The Bali traditional village experience exceeded expectation! The experience gave a real taster into the Balinese culture! Our tour guide was friendly and gave so much insight and knowledge on the culture of Bali. The tour guide and his wife welcomed us into his home and gave us a lesson on making an offering whilst explaining what the offering means and why they do it! The tour then followed by going down to the temple to place our handmade offerings and undertake a water blessing in the holy water down at the river where you have to options one of which you can do the ritual yourself by submerging yourself in holy water or the guide can splash you with the holy water! Overall if you would like an insight to traditional Balinese culture then this experience cannot be missed

This was the most unique and amazing experience. We were picked up in Ubud and transported to the Taro Village where we were met with our teacher and his mum in his family part of the village. There we learned about the offerings and learned to make one each. We were dressed in traditional sari and shared coffee and a rice biscuit with the family. We learned about customs and family life in the village and the spiritual and religious significance of the ceremonies and customs and the different buildings. From there we walked down into the valley. This was totally unexpected and truly magical. The village during Covid constructed a road down and built a cafe. As you walk down you are surrounded by giant ferns, bamboo and ancient trees - this is the first bit. Then you come to the second part which are a series of stairs and walkways that take you down past more giant ferns, rice paddy terraces and down to the river. It is here where we offered our offerings and said prayers. The final part was a ritualistic cleansing in the crystal clear water with our guide and teacher. I’m so sorry I have forgotten his name. It was truly wonderful and the community are beautiful. Highly recommended to visit here

We sat in the main house of the village family and the guide told us about their house history, family, and teach us how to make morning offerring canang sari. Then we walked down to a beautiful valley by the river and give our offerings to God and be thankful. This village is beautiful and people live here. Kids rode bikes in the village alley. There is a restaurant in the valley you can eat great food when overlooking the beautiful valley. Thanks local people for constructing the road and buildings during pandemic so its friendly to visitors. The only recommendation is, with this price here, we hope to spend like 5 hours and involve more about local village daily life like making food or other things.

The experience from start to finish was excellent we learnt so much about the culture in Bali in one morning it has really helped us to understand what day to day life is like in a traditional village. Take your swimming costume and towel, we didn’t, but wished we had.
