I brought my yoga retreat group for a cooking class at Lesung and absolutely loved the experience. The hosts were so kind, funny, and welcoming. We felt right at home. It was an incredible experience and food was 10/10. Thank you for everything! We loved it!

We had an amazing time at the Lesung cooking school! The experience started with us going to one of the owners family compound. We got to drink tea and they taught us about various ceremonies that take place in the compound as well as the traditional layout of the house. We then cooked 6 Balinese dishes in a beautiful outdoor kitchen. They were so patient with us and showed us how to prepare everything. They had great vegetarian options for my wife and she enjoyed her meal. We all enjoyed our food and had a fun time cooking eating it. There was an option to go visit a local market to look at the ingredients, but we were on a tight schedule so we skipped that part. The whole experience lasted around 3 hours. Overall I couldn’t recommend this experience enough to people visiting Bali! The whole thing felt very authentic and all of the staff were great teachers (some were also comedians haha). Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a more cultural experience while visiting Bali!

We are so very glad we did this class! The combination of the cooking class itself (multiple fun techniques and recipes taught - very tasty!) and the home tour was great! Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and it was so interesting to learn much more about the complex Balinese culture than we otherwise would have without doing this tour!

I came here solo with what I think are very little cooking skills and Ron and Putri were great at explaining things and very kind and respectful. I got to learn more about Balinese culture and the family home which I hadn’t gotten a chance to from other tours so it was very interesting. Everything is set up well and there’s lots of help whenever you need. Thank you guys!!

We had such a wonderful time with Ron, Putri, and Agung. We were treated to a visit to a traditional Balinese home and shared coffee and treats. Ron guided us through making several delicious, traditional dishes. He was skilled, funny, and delightful. We enjoyed the fruits of our efforts and left full, happy, with wonderful memories!

My family and I had a wonderful time with Ron, Putri, and Agung. They were all so kind, knowledgeable, and fun. At around $40 per person the experience was well worth it as we cooked 5 dishes AND a dessert. The kitchen itself is lovely, it has everything you need and there are fans to keep it cool. The surrounding area was lush, with many plants including a chili bush where they’ll pick chilis to use in your sambal! We heard about them from a friend and we’re so glad we did. The ingredients were fresh and we were able to learn new techniques I’d never tried before. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone, but especially if you’re a home cook or foodie, you’ll learn a lot and Ron even sent us all the recipes so we can recreate them at home! The entire class took around 3 hours, between prep, cooking, and eating. We were in a villa outside of Ubud and the drive was very manageable. Definitely give these guys a try, it’s well worth it and Ron with most definitely make you laugh.

Went to the authentic Bali cooking class with friends. Chef Ron and his team were very helpful walking us through the steps and guiding us as we prepared a wonderful lunch. Chef Ron is very funny, some might say a comedian, and made the afternoon a great time and experience for all of us

My teenage daughter and I had a great time during cooking class. We both like to cook and are quite experienced in the kitchen, but we still felt that we learned something and got some good tips and tricks for the Balinese cooking. After cooking , she and I could enjoy our dinner while sitting in the beautiful garden. It was also a great opportunity for a little getaway for her and I - which especially Mum enjoyed ❤️
