Boti Falls

Boti Falls is a pair of waterfalls that can be found in Ghana's Yilo Krobo District in the country's eastern region. The female and male falls are twin falls that originate from two rivers; according to local folklore, when they combine, a rainbow is created.

Fantastic experience. Lots to do and well worth every penny. Each tour guide was kind. Each spot was worth the drive.

Good parts - good day guide and thought on his feet. Good knowledgeable local guides. Bad points - not sensible to hike at over 30 degrees in midday sun. Car overheated and broke down. Timing day off so missed cocoa attraction and did botanical garden walk in dark. Intermittent WiFi. Poor timing of lunch post 4 pm. I was happy with tour overall but I know loads of friends and family who would have hated the experience and would have been worse if our group was more than 4.

It was okay. We went with 4 adults (incl 1 senior) and 2 children. The positive aspects were, the van was nice and also air conditioned, so that was good. The guide was polite as well. The garden was nice, too, and the tour of it was not overly long. The rest of the trip was not worth it. It was advertised as 3-6 hours, but it ended up being 8 hours, and I would not have booked it had I known it was going to be that long. At least 5 of those hours were spent in the van, and other than the gardens, what we saw was not worth being in a van for that long. A lot of the path was super bumpy, bumpy enough and went on long enough that I started to get nauseous. It was not well-planned in terms of breaks, and I had to complain loudly that we needed a break after 4 1/2 hours of nothing to eat, drink, and no restroom break. We had been asking about a break, but our guide just kept telling us a few more minutes as they got lost and looked around for a substitute for the waterfalls. I wasn't even upset that we couldn't see the waterfall, that was a function of nature and it being too dry, but I was annoyed at spending what must have been an extra 90 minutes in the van to see a tree (even if it was a really cool one). Just, not worth it in my opinion. Also, they advertised snacks and wi-fi in the bus. No wi-fi in the bus, no snacks, but they did buy us drinks at the gas station after we stopped there for the bathroom (after my complaint). I feel it was not advertised accurately.
