Your host Pablo picks you up and gives you a tour of the city as he drives you to his home. During this fun and interactive cooking class from a beef expert, learn to cook five different cuts of beef as well as empanadas. This is an immersive culinary experience that gives you a deep understanding and appreciation of Argentinian asado and steak, which both hold deep cultural significance. Enjoy your Argentinian tasting menu along with Argentinian wine.
A beef sommelier, Pablo is incredibly passionate about sharing his love for beef with guests from around the world. Pablo's grandfather was a grill master and he is keen to keep the tradition alive. A Buenos Aires native, Pablo worked in finance in multinational companies for over 30 years but took a beef sommelier course at the University of Buenos Aires in 2019 and hasn't turned back. Pablo enjoys meeting people and sharing the food and culture of his city with guests from around the world.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional Argentine culture and cuisine. Pablo picks you up from your location in Buenos Aires and gives you a history of the city as he drives you to his home for your culinary adventure focused on Argentinian beef, a source of national pride. After a refreshing aperitif, don an apron and learn to get a fire started in a parilla (Argentinian grill). Next, knead dough to make empanadas - delicious, flaky turnovers filled with ground beef, onions and spices. Pablo then introduces you to the different cuts of beef and teaches you how to grill five different types of steak, from an Argentine Angus strip loin to a Wagyu tri-tip. Discover how the breed and feed influence the taste and texture as you enjoy your Argentinian beef tasting menu. Your meal includes freshly baked sourdough, a green salad, grilled peppers, a surprise dish!, Argentinian Malbec wine (or beer), dessert and home made limoncello. Pablo also offers coffee upon request. Enjoy the steaks you helped prepare over laughter and conversation at the dining table as you immerse yourself in this true Buenos Aires cultural tradition!

Pablo and his wife Laura are superhosts in this wonderful experience and great service. They welcome you to their lovely and cozy home in Flores borough in Buenos Aires City to taste firsthand different kinds of beef from 100% feedlot grain fed all the way to grassfed and Wagyu from the argentinian pampas. They are very passionate about what they do which is always contagious. In the experience you will be "guided" in each step of the tasting and informed about the origin and characteristics of each cut tasted. There will be delicious vegetables as side dish, and wine. Also you'll taste a delicious pastrami and a dessert of creppe with dulce de leche and an alfajor. You'll also do some cooking of empanadas! so its very entertaining. It's without a doubt a recommended experience for anyone who likes good food and especially to become more conscious of the differences of types of beef. This was a fantastic evening with great company. The food was so good and was done so that we could taste the difference in the cuts of meat which was enlightening. We felt so welcome at Pablo and his wife’s home too! Highly recommend!

We did many things in our week in Buenos Aires, but the experience with Pablo the Beef Sommelier was hands down the very best. He is extremely knowledgeable about beef and he also shows you how to make empanadas, he shares recipes and diagrams. He brings you to his home and you cook in his kitchen and get a lesson cooking beef on his huge outdoor grill. His wife is awesome and they both are very genuine and friendly. I'm full just remembering all the food we ate as we learned about not only beef but, because Pablo has lived in BA his whole life, he knows all the history of the city. Overall, it was worth every penny and I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely fabulous evening spent with Pablo! The food was some of the best we had in Argentina — truly incredible. Beyond the amazing cuisine, we enjoyed great conversations and learned so much throughout the night. Thank you, Pablo, for an unforgettable evening and your exceptional hospitality. Oh my...where to start with this review. My daughter said it was the best meal she has ever eaten. For my husband, the meal kicked off with the best empanada he's ever had. From start to finish, this experience was amazing. Pablo made us feel like family from the start, and has so much knowledge about beef that I wish I could take a beef sommelier course from him! Every bite was delicious and (unsurprisingly) perfectly cooked. We all learned great tips for understanding cuts, selecting meat, and cooking it. If you are even starting to consider this experience, do yourself a favor and just book it. You'll thank yourself later.

Pablo is an excellent chef, host, and beef sommelier. The lunch was delicious, and it was very interesting to learn about and try the different cuts of beef.
