Batu Caves

One of the highlights of a visit here is climbing the 272 steps leading up to the temple. Located in a limestone outcrop, Batu Caves is a unique and fascinating cave temple. Batu Caves consists of three big caves, with the main cave housing ornate Hindu shrines. This destination draws a huge international crowd during Thaipusam, an annual festival which pays homage to Lord Muruga. A recent addition here is the 140-feet statue of Lord Muruga, which is visible from miles away.

Lata Iskandar

Lata Iskandar is a waterfall along the trunk road from Tapah to Cameron Highlands, located about 25-km before Ringlet. The waterfall cascades over several tiers of granite slopes, with the last drop at 25 meters high flowing into a small pool below, before resuming its journey as a narrow stream. On weekends, the waterfall is overrun by tourists and local visitors. They congregate tightly under the cold shower of the falls, or perch themselves for photos along its rocky ledges. Ramshackle shops and stalls, nestled along the main road facing Lata Iskandar, provide shopping opportunities for ethnic souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs, tropical fruits and even aphrodisiacs.

It took 10 hours and that is not enough. Places are really far from center of KL. But in general we are satisfied with this trip, it’s quite comfortable and include a lot interesting places. So if you don’t have time for staying in Cameron highlands for night I would recommend this trip. The driver Nagen was very nice and polite, chatted with us about places we visited. But the arrangement wasn’t so good. We received the info about driver and vehicle late evening before tour. Previously there were no communication from tour operator.

Experience with attention to detail. Absolute availability of the guide, Richard, to our requests and curiosity! Breathtaking views. Super recommended hike, especially thanks to Richard, without him it would not have been the same!

It was a good combination of tour of Batu Cave and Cameron Highlands which was only available on Viator. Driver is very friendly and humorous and very skillful in driving and keeping safe. An absolute pleasant experience of places and people.
