Immerse yourself in a private pasta-making class at a local's home, learn the secrets of the region's most famous pasta dishes and taste the fruit of your labour accompanied by a glass of local wine.

During the lesson, the local home cook will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic regional pasta recipes. Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Each participant will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes. Then, taste everything you have prepared accompanied by a selection of red and white local wines.

This experience is held by Cesarine: Italy’s oldest network of 1000+ home cooks all over the country in more than 500 cities. They are passionate and welcoming hosts that open the doors of their own homes to curious travellers for immersive culinary experiences.

Please note that our Cesarine are ready and thrilled to host you in their homes! All Cesarine are always very careful and attentive of the important sanitary rules needed, even more now! The homes provide all the essential sanitary equipment for the guests (paper towels for washing hands, hand sanitizing gel and so on). Grazia was very wonderful to me and my son, guiding us with such care as we learned to cook pasta from making dough to pasta shapes. The whole experience was truly lovely. Grazia and her family were incredibly kind and even shared dinner with us, which made the moment feel especially meaningful during the Christmas season. My mom and I had an amazing time learning to make pasta with Maurizio. We made 3 pastas, each with a different sauce, and tiramisu. The recipes were delicious and unique, but simple enough that we will try to recreate them at home. We ate so much food and he even sent us home with the leftovers! It was truly a unique and unforgettable experience.

Such a great experience! Paola's location was a short uber ride from the cruise port. We learned to make 3 types of pasta and then she prepared 3 wonderful dishes. Will never forget this fantastic experience! Grazie Paola!

Learn to make pasta from a local. Andrea and Graziella were very warm and friendly. Interesting conversation accompanied the pasta making. You'll also enjoy a great view over Catania. A must do if you would like a one of a kind memory.

This was so much fun! I booked it very last minute, but Maurizio was very welcoming and spoiled me with way too much food. The pasti we made were all incredibly tasteful. Would highly recommend if you have the time

Spending a morning with Graziella and Andrea (Brian 😉) was a highlight of our trip. We not only learned how to make a delicious pasta, we also learned how to hand-roll the dough. The ridges of the pasta really make the difference! We've already ordered the items we learned to use yesterday and are excited to make them in our home soon. Graziella and Andrea welcomed us into their home where we instantly felt like family. If you're on the fence, book the class; you will not regret it!!

Maurizio was a true professional, from the moment you arrived to the moment you left. Served a delicious spread of appetizers before you even started cooking. His directions were impeccable. It was some of the best pasta sauce I’ve ever eaten. He shared history of each dish and the reasoning of the ingredients. As well as shared his soul and passion for cooking. It was a relaxed homey atmosphere. I felt like I had known him for years! I look forward to returning with my daughters! Grazie

The experience of a life time if you’re in Catania or traveling through, must make time for a private or small group with Maurizio and his family(cousin) was the best time ever. What a lovely tour and homemade Sicilian food!! 10/10, will share this experience with all I know.. cheers!

Antonella was an amazing host and a great teacher! Food was fantastic! We met our host at her home in Catania and enjoyed our time chatting and making some delicious authentic pasta dishes.
