The tour worked well, we went to all the points that were divugaldos in the package. We stayed at the points according to the promised time. However, relevant information about the itinerary is missing, especially if you do not purchase the package with SnowCoach (Only tour) you need to pay attention to the following details: 1. The Enterprise that operates the tours that depart from Columbia IceField Center (Skywalk and Snowcoach) is not the same as the one that does the tour. 2. The Enterprise tour starts with a stop at the lakes (Bow and Peyto respectively) and does not go directly to the Columbia Icefield Center as shown in the advertisement itinerary. Then consider the reverse order of the ad stop points (3, 2 and after 1) 3. The tour makes a 1 hour lunch stop approximately before departing to the Colimbia IceField Center. Consider this time when scheduling tickets. 4. If you purchase SkyWalk in advance, prefer the time of 2:15 PM or 2:30 PM depending on the travel time. We purchased for 12:00 PM and it was necessary to change the hours on site. It all went well and without problems but we were worried about the schedule at all times. There is no guarantee of time shifts by the Enterprise operating at Columbia IceFields Center. Seek to confirm with antea agency the itinerary and arrival time to Columbia IceField Center. In short, it worked well Hao was our guide. It was attentive and helped us to modify the time of admission.

Very uncomfortable tour… The tour guide Hao was not good unfortunately, he done most of the tour in Chinese and a few small parts in English, this was bizarre to us as we were not made aware this would be the case, when he did speak English it was broken and the information often incorrect. He was however friendly and polite to start with anyway. I would say overall he was just a driver not an actual tour guide. He insisted we give him a 5 star review half way through the tour, which I actually did as I didn’t really overthink it and wanted him to stop pestering me, he insisted I done this and so he could take a picture of it also, again weird behaviour but I just wanted to get away from the awkwardness. Once I had done that though things started to go down hill, he stopped in Banff to drop people off and left us on bus with all doors open, including driver door and said he would be back in 15 minutes, he came back 35 minutes later stating “I’m back” in a joyous tone , no apology, he then drove back to Calgary, at various points of tour he was also going way over the speed limit. We were supposed to be dropped off first in Calgary but instead he drove to the airport to drop off other people, at no point did he communicate he was doing this or changing the plans and this resulted in us being over an hour late getting dropped off and missing our dinner reservation. He deliberately did not tell us this as he knew he was supposed to drop us off first, but he already had his review so he didn’t care, it became apparent that’s why he insisted we give him the review so early. We were annoyed at the lack of communication and were ready to leave and as we stepped off bus he said to me “actually there is a service charge you need to pay” bear in mind we booked through a reputable website Viator so we were aware everything had been paid in advance and also bear in mind we are not fools so we’re fully aware there was nothing to pay, but I asked the question anyway ,what service charge?he then stated “well actually it’s kind of like a mandatory tip” I said under no circumstances was he getting a tip after that level of service and that if he had done a good job he may have got one, and lucky we were not making a complaint! He continued to insist it was mandatory, he said he was going to ring his boss, he rang somebody on his phone speaking in Chinese again and when finished he said okay it’s not mandatory and said it’s a misunderstanding, but there was no misunderstanding he was chancing his arm to try and force us to give a tip! He waited until we stepped off the bus to pull this stunt as he was waiting to see if we would actually just give him a tip and when I didn’t he decided to try fool us into paying, which I’m sure it’s not the first time he’s done this and I would say people often pay just to be able to leave without trouble!! I was very mad at this and his appalling entitled attitude. We left with absolutely no tip given and made sure he knew we were not happy, I deleted the previous 5 star review he insisted we gave also. The athabasca glacier was completely separate to this tour and they were great, along with peyto lake and bow lake stunning but I would suggest booking a different tour to see these places. We paid a lot of money upwards of €300 for this tour and did not have a good experience. Do yourself a favour and avoid this experience and spend your hard earned money with a better tour agent.

Our tour with Michael was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. Not only was he an excellent driver, but also a knowledgeable and engaging guide who shared so many interesting stories and insights along the way. He was kind, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable and cared for. You could tell he truly loves what he does, and that passion made the whole tour extra special. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for a fun, safe, and memorable tour—you won’t be disappointed!

Hovin was really friendly and made an effort to take care of every tourist. I really appreciated how he drove such a long distance, even in heavy rain. Overall, the experience was very satisfying!
