You will have the opportunity to learn the history of the wine estates and see all the wine cultivation and production process, being at the source of the Porto Wine. The "birthplace" of this unique nectar!
During the tour enjoy 6 wine tastings while admiring the astonishing landscapes and serenity of the Douro Valley, recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, since 2001.
The guided visit to 2 different wine estates with tastings, a complete traditional lunch with Douro wines and a scenic 50 minutes cruise on the Douro River is included on this full package.

For the Pickup Option, note that pick-up is only available from all hotels in Porto city center. Pickups outside this area are not possible

Outstanding and worth every penny

5.00This is a must do if you’re at all interested in the Duoro Valley and Port. But it was so much more than just Port. The 2 estates we visited were great in their own ways: 1st up was Quinta de Sao Luiz which is a relatively larger producer with lots of choices from brands to varietals and vintages, the guide was very informative. 2nd stop was at Negrilho who carried Carlos Alfonso Wine Company products and is a small producer but still very good quality and the lunch provided was WOW and 12 out of 10. But the icing on the cake was they showed us the traditional way of opening Vintage Port and allowed us to taste it, yummy. Between the 2 estates we also went out for a river cruise on the Duoro River in a typical Porto transporter boat refitted for tours. Then on the way back to Porto we made a visit to Amarante where we were given some time to wander so we chose to go to a taberna for a Green Wine and found a a Pastel de Nata at a local pastry shop. To top it off our guide Jose from LivingTours was very accommodating and informative of the region and country.

5.00This was a fun tour with a couple of vineyard tours, boat ride and lunch. There were many beautiful panoramic views throughout the day. Miguel was an entertaining guide, and we enjoyed socializing together with people from all over theq world as the day unfolded.

4.00It was really great tour with lots of useful information about trees, landscape and of course wine. The guide was also very helpful in telling nice stories about each stops and kept the tour alive with quiz style moderation— the only thing was that the tour was in two languages English and Spanish which was a bit intense to always hear the guide speaking and not to have silence pauses to contemplate- especially on the bus rides but apart of that it was awesome.

5.00My girlfriend and I went on the wine tour experience including a vineyard wine tasting, river cruise, and traditional Portuguese lunch. We had a wonderful time thanks to our guide Jose. Our driver Rui ensured a smooth trip along the way.

5.00Had a great experience on this tour! The instructions make meet up easy to find and the guides were very kind and helpful. We got it on sale and paid $100 per person which felt like a good price for what we got to experience- the bus ride there and back with funny commentary from our guide Pedro Costa (and Kohl did great to get us there and back safely!), wines at two quintas with locals knowledgeable about the Douro wines and a beautiful boat ride (though chilly in January!). We got to stop in a cute town for pastries and another spot for photos as well. The tour was about ~9.5 hours from pick up to drop off. We had maybe 20 people on our "bus", a mix of couples, families, and solo travelers.

5.00We had lots of fun and also learned a lot about Douna Valley and its lovely wines. Jose was truly lovely, he’s a trilingual guide who explained everything perfectly from the start to the end. He’s also got great taste in music so the “boring” part of being in the bus was still enjoyable. Also Rui, the driver, was calm and drove at a sustainable pace, not too fast but not too slow either.
