Good for avoiding crowds, we guide small groups that give you a more local immersion personalized experience. The quality of our guides, wines and the wineries visited stand out from other tours.
The tour begins with a visit to a port wine producer: Quinta da Roêda. There will be a personalized guided tour on the vineyards where the process of making the port wine will be explained. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a careful selection of Portuguese cheeses.
After tasting, we will embark 1 hour boat ride where the calm of the river will inspire us. This soothing ride is the best time to contemplate the landscape and nature of the Douro Valley.
Lunch is served in a beautiful farm overlooking to the vineyards where there are several food options: fish, meat or vegetarian. Everything are included in the price.
The second winery is a small table wine producer, It will be an interesting opportunity to have more contact with the locals. The visit ends with an olive oil tasting.

The pickup will be made at a pick-up point in the city of Porto, the journey to the Douro Valley is about 1h30 minutes.

4.00Great value for money. Jorge our guide was excellent. Just a couple of things preventing us giving this five stars. There was no commentary on the boat trip or offering of drinks- you had to ask. The eight seater people carrier which was an excellent condition- however the seat next to the driver had no leg room and sitting in a twisted position on a long journey was extremely uncomfortable.
This is a MUST DO trip when in Porto!

5.00Marcel was an amazing host and we had the best day! The scenery in the Douro Valley is incredible-you need to see it - and the trip through the windy roads in the hills was exceptional- Marcel was a careful driver and took great care of us throughout the day. We were collected and dropped off at our hotel and there were just 6 of us on the tour. The wineries were wonderful and the hilltop lunch (traditional and home cooked) was absolutely delicious. We would 100% recommend this trip to any one. The only thing we enjoyed less was the included boat trip which was quite long, very hot and rather tedious. The drive was more than enough (and the best way to do it) to experience the breathtaking views- the boat trip was pleasant but boring! Maybe an hour in the village looking in the little shops would be better? Other than that-a perfect day!

5.00Pedro was an excellent guide, very personable, accommodating and friendly. He had extensive knowledge of the area, history and culture. His English was first rate and we felt lucky to be in such great hands. He smartly reordered the stops to accommodate the weather. The tour was well designed, fun and beautiful. A perfect day!
