  • Waste of a full day!

You only have 15 minutes at the first stop, 15 minutes break at gas station to grab food and use restroom, no lunch stop, 30 minutes at 2nd stop and 1.5 hrs at the Mt St Michel and Abbey of which you need to eat so no chance to go to the Abbey.

  • Could only give a 3 star...

Could only give a 3 star because our guide was not well versed in the history of D-Day and WWII. He was very nice and tried hard to relate with all the tour group. The problem was that Viatour out sourced the tour with Amigo Tours. A Spanish company. It was a Spanish and English tour. Which was fine, we wanted English. Our guide also had 2 guides ‘in training’ with him. They were also very nice but not aware of historic details. My daughter and I were giving them information. At Omaha beach we saw many other tour groups. Their guides had binders of before and after photos of the area. They provided much more accurate information to their groups. The trip was long yet very beautiful. Saint Michel was spectacular! I would recommend this tour but only with another tour provider.

  • Not a Tour, Just a Long Bus Ride

This tour was a waste of a day in France. This was our fourth and final tour for the week and it might be the worst tour I’ve ever been on. The “guide” was not bilingual. We specifically booked a an English tour. He did not speak fluent English. The only history/explanations we received were short paragraphs read from a sheet. The guide had another English speaking guest read the paper to the group. It was intended to be a 4 hour ride to Omaha Beach it took us over 6 hours. We took two breaks, the first one was thirty minutes into the ride and completely unnecessary, the second bus stop was intended to be 20 minutes but ended up being 40 because our driver disappeared. Because of the delays, we were only given 10 minutes to spend at Omaha Beach. At the second stop, Pointe Du Hoc, the guide’s only comment on the bunker was “a lot of people died here”. It was so disappointing to be in such an historical site and not receive any history. We walked out with the same knowledge that we walked in with, nothing more. Mont Saint Michele Abbey was incredible but we arrived much later than intended. We didn’t arrive there until close to 4:00 pm, this was our lunch destination. We were all hungry and had to sacrifice time in the city in order to eat due to poor time management of the tour. The paid water closets in the city were closed and the public ones were disgusting. The guide said on the way back we would stop 2 hours in, it was three hours before we stopped. This was basically terribly inefficient bus ride, do not waste your day, do not waste your money, find a better tour and avoid this one at all costs. You don’t get any history, local stories or information.

  • Emotional and Breathtaking Journey

This tour was amazing! We started at Omaha Beach, where the guide told us all about the D-Day landings and the incredible bravery of the soldiers. It was very moving to stand at the very spot where history was made. Then we headed to Mont Saint-Michel, which was absolutely breathtaking. The guide gave us a great tour of the Abbey, explaining its rich history. The organization was flawless, and we had plenty of time to explore both places. I would absolutely recommend this trip—it was worth every penny!

The trip to Omaha Beach and Mont Saint-Michel was an emotional and awe-inspiring experience. Our guide did an excellent job explaining the importance of Omaha Beach during WWII and the significance of the landings. After this historical site, we visited Mont Saint-Michel, and I was blown away by its beauty. The whole day was well-paced, allowing us to fully enjoy both locations. The lunch at Mont Saint-Michel was also a great experience. I highly recommend this tour—it’s packed with history, beauty, and great organization. Worth every penny!
