Booking a tour for the Eiffel Tower turned chaos into calm! The guide brought us to the "skip the line" entrance and then gave an overview of the history of the Eiffel Tower. We were able to stay as long as we wished. Worth the price.

Romain did a superb job explaining the history of the Eiffel Tower, how it came to be, it's construction, and fun facts surrounding it.

The timing was way off and due to other reservations we made we could not even make it to the top which we paid extra for. The description says around 90 minutes but it took over two hours to get to the second level and in yet another line. The tour group office should have said something ahead of time before departing based on their experience. The guide was pleasant and there was nothing he could do, this is on the tour group office at check in. Unbelievably disappointed on this one and not what I have experienced or expect from Viator.

Eiffel Tower is a must when visiting Paris (of course). We have used many tour companies and guides to see many sights. Even though the tour guide was kind and knowledgeable, we did not see much of a benefit of joining a tour for this experience. Next time will buy tickets direct.
