Designed for cruise passengers, this tour takes you from Le Verdon port to 'Little Paris'—the stunning city of Bordeaux. Known for its rich history, elegant architecture, and world-renowned vineyards, it is the heart of France’s most famous wine region.
Bordeaux’s beautifully preserved old town is closed to vehicle traffic, so upon arrival, your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the city’s main sights. View the famous Cathédrale Saint-André, walk through Place de la Bourse, the city’s iconic square, and see the Water Mirror, one of Bordeaux’s most photographed spots. Stop at the Grand Théâtre, a neoclassical theater that has been a cultural hub for over 200 years.
After the guided portion, you’ll have some free time to visit shops, relax at a café, or try local food. You can also join an optional wine tasting at a nearby bar for €30 per person. At the designated time, rejoin the bus for the return trip to Le Verdon, ensuring you arrive back at your cruise ship on schedule.

This does involve a long coach journey at both the start and end of the tour, but the Guide made good use of the time to explain about wine production in the region on the way. Sadly our free time was drastically reduced due to the inefficiency of the dockside workers at Le Verdon who took over an hour to do a 15 minute job setting up the gangways. Our Guide was excellent and the walking tour itself was very good. The fact that we had very little free time was not the fault of Viator or your staff.

Cass our Tour guide is very knowledgeable about the area. We went around bourdeaux and did not miss any itenerary. We have time to explore on our own or have a wine tasting. We learned a lot about the city.

Excellent tour. Our tour guide Cass was very informative about wines, history of the area. He even provided a champagne sample for our ride back to port! The bus was waiting for us directly outside the ship. Would definitely recommend.
