Designed for cruise passengers, this tour takes you from Le Verdon port to 'Little Paris'—the stunning city of Bordeaux. Known for its rich history, elegant architecture, and world-renowned vineyards, it is the heart of France’s most famous wine region.
Bordeaux’s beautifully preserved old town is closed to vehicle traffic, so upon arrival, your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the city’s main sights. View the famous Cathédrale Saint-André, walk through Place de la Bourse, the city’s iconic square, and see the Water Mirror, one of Bordeaux’s most photographed spots. Stop at the Grand Théâtre, a neoclassical theater that has been a cultural hub for over 200 years.
After the guided portion, you’ll have some free time to visit shops, relax at a café, or try local food. You can also join an optional wine tasting at a nearby bar for €30 per person. At the designated time, rejoin the bus for the return trip to Le Verdon, ensuring you arrive back at your cruise ship on schedule.

The guide had little to no experience. Although he was friendly he had no ability to pivot in case of diversionsion were needed. Tour was very rushed and boring. When we finally arrived to our destination after being on a very hot bus, we walked for a bit and finally directed to a public restroom which was out of order. 20 plus adults were left standing and confused as this was our first experience with this in a place where we were told we couldn't just walk into a place and use a restroom. Our guide was flippint about it and his attitude was not what we expected. after 20 more minutes I and a few other ladies walked into a hotel and used the restroom. We we asked by the guide to hurry up and he would try and wait. As we walked he nonchalantly pointed to streets where we might come back for a quick lunch or shopping. Later he gave us 30 minutes to find those streets and make our way back to the meet up point. IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Then the even HOTTER bus rid back! don't reccomend this tour! I did try and work this out prior to writing this review, as there are at least half of us who complained- but was not HEARD!

Note to NCL cruisers, this is a 2 hour commute from the Port of Le Verdon. However it is worth it! Caz was a great tour guide and we got to see so many amazing sites. The wine tasting was unavailable due to a flood but that gave us enough time to grab a VERY quick lunch and glass of Bordeaux. I do wish there was some more time to perus the town.

Good history of Bordeaux - newer history and history from the olde towne. We learned about the buildings, why they were built and what they represent. Also learned about the wine culture and process. Kas (sorry butchering his name 🙁). He was an awesome tour guide and definitely recommend the tour. The worst part is the 2 hour bus ride from the Le Verdon ship terminal. We would have loved more free time to explore …we had about 90 minutes at the end of the tour and had lunch at a little brasserie near the opera house that we thoroughly enjoyed.
