Our adventure begins with an exploration of the Lorette-Rochefort Cave, where ancient geological formations create an otherworldly atmosphere. From there, we ascend to Châteaux Walzin, perched majestically above the scenic River Lesse, offering breathtaking views and a glimpse into the region's noble past.

We venture into the charming town of Dinant, where medieval architecture and quaint cobblestone streets lead us on a journey through time.

Our exploration of Belgian traditions takes us next to Maison Leffe, where we uncover the secrets behind the brewing process of one of Belgium's most celebrated beers.

No visit to Belgium would be complete without a pilgrimage to Chimay Abbey, a serene sanctuary nestled amidst verdant forests and rolling hills. Here, we pause to reflect on the centuries-old traditions of the Trappist monks, whose dedication to prayer and contemplation has shaped the abbey's peaceful ambiance.

We went on the tour as a family, and it was perfect for all ages! Joris, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day fun and engaging. Highlights included exploring the caves, strolling around Walzin Castle with stunning river views, wandering through charming Dinant, and learning about brewing at the monastery with a tasting at the end. The pace was great, lots of variety, so both kids and adults stayed interested all day. Everything was well organized, from transport to timing at each stop. We felt relaxed, cared for, and never rushed. A full day of history, nature, and culture!

Visiting Dinant with our family was an amazing experience! The tour was lively and entertaining, keeping both the kids and adults interested the whole time. Our guide was very knowledgeble and made us laugh along the way. The riverside views were just breathtaking. Definitely a trip we’ll never forget!

Me and my kids had a great tour. Joris was a very well informed but at the same time super sympathetic guide. You could tell he knows a lot about the story – and he could even speak a little German. Really recommendable!

This tour was absolutely a highlight of our trip! From Ghent, we left early and the drive to Dinant was scenic and peaceful. The riverside castle is stunning, it has amazing views… Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and full of interesting stories about the castle’s past, the region’s culture, and how the monks brew beer (yes, beer monastery!!!) The logistics were smooth, pick-up, breaks, food suggestions, time spent at each place. If you love castles, riverside settings, good beer, and want both relaxation and insight, this tour and Joris give you all you need! You’ve made this New York family very happy, thanks!

This tour was our favorite adventure in Belgium. Joris picked us up at our hotel and started the journey with a personal history lesson. We learned so much about the economy, people and areas. Our first stop included coffee and tasting various types of cookies while enjoying beautiful views of the castle. Beer tasking in a private setting overlooking the gardens. Visiting the monastery was really nice. Chimay was amazing! Joris' timing was impeccable at each stop. We didn't wait in line at all. We tasted many different beers and learned so much. Being with Joris was like hanging out with a friend. He is a native and loves his country. With this personal tour, you get to see a lot of places that you wouldn't typically have access to with a bus tour group.

Our tour to Dinant was an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty, rich history, and charming architecture. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning cliffs, the Meuse River, and the iconic Citadel overlooking the town. The guided tour gave us fascinating insights into Dinant’s past, including its role in World War I and its connection to Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. We enjoyed a peaceful boat ride on the river, explored quaint streets, and sampled delicious local cuisine. The mix of adventure and relaxation made this trip perfect for any traveler. Dinant’s atmosphere is both peaceful and inspiring—ideal for a weekend getaway. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belgium.

My day with Joris exceeded my very high expectations! Joris is incredibly knowledgeable about the region and Trappist beers. Everything was perfectly planned from the timing to the meals featuring food and beer from the region to his knowledge of the best secret spots for the best views!! The Caves and the Citadel were incredible. It was like spending the day with a friend, Joris is friendly, outgoing and engaging. My next trip to Belgium will include another tour with Joris!
