  TOUR GUIDES - 5 STARS; VIATOR LISTING AND COMMUNICATIONS - 1 STAR - Buyer beware, make sure you review and get confirmation from Viator for what you are signing up for. Viator listing was confusing and they were not able to sort it out before the tour. Ahmed was originally supposed to be our tour guide but at the last minute they switched and Subhan was our guide. Subhan, however, was very nice and was excellent in his knowledge of Dubai and all the sights, and Ahmed followed up with us at the end of the tour. The positive thing about our tour was that we were able to see a lot in our 8 hour tour and they tailored the tour to what we most wanted to see (in Dubai if you have a 4 hour or 8 hour tour really need to decide what you most want to see since won't have time to see everything in depth). The main confusion was the Viator writeup and the price for the Burj Khalifa tickets; I had reached out to Viator for clarification before the tour but it was not sorted out ahead of time which led to confusion on the day of the tour. Also, we had originally been booked on an entirely different tour but found out that they could not pick us up at the hotel even though the Viator listing definitely had confirmed that pick up was possible when I booked it (I had a screen shot that showed it); again another problem with Viator listing. Overall not a good travel day/experience; 1 star for Viator.

  We were incredibly excited for our Dubai city tour, eager to explore the sights and take in everything this vibrant city has to offer. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our expectations. Our tour guide was inexperienced and unprofessional. After the first stop, he stopped providing information entirely and appeared more focused on his phone than on guiding us. It became we would be dropped off and told to go and come back when you are done. When we went to the Blue Mosque, there was no commentary, simply told to we had to hurry because it was closing. When we finally reached the Burj Khalifa, the tour concluded with us waiting an hour for our transport vehicle. To make matters worse, we had to walk quite a distance to a pickup location that our guide didn’t even know how to find. We were all a bit frustrated. Additionally, we missed several key sights because the guide repeatedly cited “traffic in Dubai” as the reason. While traffic is understandable, a well-prepared tour should account for such issues to ensure a smooth experience. Instead, the tour felt rushed, disorganized, and left us disappointed. This tour could have easily been a 5-star experience with better planning and a more competent guide. Sadly, it was poorly executed and left much to be desired. I would recommend this tour for others, however with a guide who is more enthusiastic about showcasing the city.
