  We booked this 4x4 desert safari hoping for an exciting day out — quad biking, dune bashing, BBQ and a show — but it ended up being one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had in Dubai. The quad biking was the biggest letdown. You’re confined to a small sand pit with no freedom to explore. To actually go anywhere interesting, you have to pay extra. Even then, you’re constantly told to slow down, which completely kills the fun. Throughout the day, the amount of people trying to sell you things is relentless. You can’t relax for five minutes without someone approaching you to buy photos, scarves, or “upgrades.” It really ruins what should be a fun and scenic experience. There’s litter everywhere and huge crowds at every stop, which takes away from any sense of being out in the desert. The 4x4 dune bashing itself was good fun — but far too short. As soon as you stop for photos, the selling starts again. The camel ride that’s “included” lasted about two minutes, just enough for a photo before being ushered off. Unless you pay for upgrades, you get the absolute bare minimum and the staff make little effort to ensure you’re having a good time. The food was poor and the show was dull — a lot of waiting around, sitting doing nothing, and not knowing what was going on. Overall, we spent far more time being sold things or waiting around than actually doing anything enjoyable. The whole experience felt cheap, disorganized, and money-driven rather than about giving guests a good time. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere — this safari is not worth it.

  Everything was perfect... They came to pick us up right on time... Our driver Osman was very cheerful and tried to help with everything... I would recommend him to everyone... If I came again, I would choose the same tour.

  We had amazing experience, we were 9 in the group, we took 2 cars. The drivers were very nice, they make sure we enjoy every minute especially in the sand dunes. They took pictures of each one of us.,They let us experience the sand boarding .I love this tour from Viator, we had a very good deal .I will definitely recommend this tour from Viator

  The drivers are very helpful and pick us on time. They contacted us a day before to inform us regarding the pick up. The dune bashing is a very good experience and they even took our photos and even give suggestions. The show was also great and the food is good. The only issue is that the SUV is not for 7 adults as the backseat is too small. It is good only for children.

  The drivers are very helpful and provide informations. With the car, the backseat is too small for an average size person thus one should hire with only 4 adult person in the car.

  Gula Jaan was our guide (ask for him) on a fantastic dune bashing trip. He is an excellent and safe driver, he picked us up on a 2025 Land Cruiser which was excellent and luxurious. He took us into the desert and the bashing was great fun yet safe. After a decent amount of time he stopped and took lots of fantastic photos. He truly looked after us at the BBQ and we couldn't recommend him or the company more highly. Thanks so much for a fantastic evening Gula, you are a gentleman!

  From the moment Mohammed Javaid picked us up from our hotel, we knew we were in good hands. He greeted us warmly, spoke perfect English, offered us water right away, and made the hour-long drive to the desert fly by. The day was packed with experiences – we chose quad biking (great fun, even if the riding area was small) before heading out for the dune bashing highlight. Javaid’s driving skills were incredible, making it thrilling but safe, and he took some of the best photos we’ve ever had taken on a trip, showing us the perfect spots and poses. The downside? The hard selling. We were immediately offered £160 buggy rides, had scarves wrapped around our heads without asking (then told it was 150 dirhams), and were repeatedly approached by sellers who didn’t take “no” the first time. It felt a bit relentless and took away from the relaxed vibe. Dinner at the camp was delicious with loads of choice, the fire show was spectacular, and the belly dancing was mesmerising. Camel ride was short (which suited us fine), and the whole experience felt like a true Dubai adventure. Highly recommend – and if you can, ask for Mohammed Javaid for the ultimate day in the dunes!

  Great experience, especially the dune bashing. My family loved the experience. We took great photos. Would do it again.
