  This experience was amazing to say the least! From the beginning my driver, Sabelo, from Philippians 4 Travel & Tours made my day. He was kind, welcoming and informative. I felt like I was in great hands while traveling solo. As for the Elephant & Monkey Reservation tour…. they both were outstanding! The experience in both I will never forget!

  It was an amazing day period I couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. My driver was fantastic, he knew a lot of information about the area and the tour. It was a calm atmosphere and I didn't feel rushed. They split us into groups that were just the right size. The elephants were great to be around. And the caretaker's were awesome in handling them. The monkeys were a lot of fun.And we really enjoyed feeding them. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend this tour. It is a great value for the price.

  I loved this tour. Being able to be close to the elephants and monkeys was incredible. The company responsible for the tour was punctual, with an attentive and very respectful team.

  Superb - a privilege to be able to feed and touch these majestic animals under the careful guidance of the animal carers my. From the time we were picked up by our very competent, safe driver, Tshepo, and dropped back at our hotel we had a wonderful day. Our tour operator (Philippians) was exceptional in their communication and prompt responses.

  This is a must do tour...a once in a lifetime experience. The guides are very knowledgeable..and the elephants are soo gentle.

  Both the elephant and monkey sanctuary tours were absolutely incredible. We had the opportunity to feed the elephants, learn about them during an educational session, take plenty of photos, and even enjoy a short walk alongside them. Afterwards, we spent time with the monkeys, feeding them and taking in the stunning views of the sanctuary.

  Viator set tour time but that's not same as pickup time...my pick up was 2 hours before...how would I know?

  As to the elephants, they trip is extremely cool.you can touch the elephants you can feed them, hug with them, make photos, and overall understand their life. As to the monkeys, they’re very fun. when you come you are given the food for them, you can feed them.if they like you they may sit on your bowl. and when they start to trust you they may get up on your head, shoulder, arms and go together with you for a long time. This is very funny and nice. Please note that this is not Safari, and those animals are living in a sanctuary meaning that people do care about them. Monkeys come from the other people’s hands, when people refuse to keep them as domestic animals. I think for such an experience, the price is a little bit high, yet please know that it is intended to save animals. The organiser doesn’t take too much in contribution, because of the tickets themselves are costly. Our driver was Hector, and he was extremely nice helpful and has a good humour. I would like to thank him for everything.

  Most amazing experience! Much more than we were expecting. So close to the elephants and being able to touch them and walk with them was incredible. All the staff were great. I will be returning to South Africa next year and definitely be doing the tour again.

  This tour was BEYOND what I expected. The hands on interaction with the elephants and monkeys was UNREAL. However, I want to highlight my tour guide, Cosmos. He is an absolutely amazing human being. I am not usually much for conversation on tours but you would think we had known each other for years the way we talked through the whole afternoon (it ended up just being me on the tour, which was great!). I think our conversations ALMOST topped the experience with the animals. I felt very comfortable and safe through my entire journey as a solo female traveler. Don’t let the lack of reviews deter you from choosing this tour (most people are not in Johannesburg long enough to go on tours, usually they just come for safaris). I would say this entire experience has been the highlight of my trip so far and made me so glad I made the trek to South Africa
