After collecting you form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg between 06:00 – 06:30, we travel to the Pilanesberg Nature Park

We should arrive at Pilanesberg Park around 9am where we will then board and start our 1st open vehicle safari drive ( +- 3 hours) in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park We will then have a short stop from 12 pm until 1 pm for lunch at Pilanebserg Center inside the middle of the park overlooking a beautiful waterhole . After Lunch we will depart on our 2nd Open Safari Drive (+-2 hours) we depart the park around 15h30 arriving back in Johannesburg between 17h30 to 18h00

Visit Pilanesberg Game Reserve from Johannesburg for a full-day safari. The tour includes return transportation to the park and two 2.5-hour game drives with a highly qualified ranger in an open vehicle. On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4x4 safari vehicle safari drive in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animal you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members of the Big 5.During the heat of the day you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon open vehicle safari drive. Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00 in order to arrive back in Johannesburg before sunset.

My sister and I enjoyed our safari. We were fortunate to see four of the big five and many other interesting animals, such as hippos, giraffes, and kudus. It’s an exceptionally long day and at times you may regret signing up for something that requires you to wake up so early but it’s so worth it when you get there and you’ll be glad you did it. This is the best option for an authentic daylong safari from Johannesburg. We loved our guide Katie and took so many great photos and videos.

We were picked up at our hotel at 530, with a few others from our hotel that were going. The ride to the park was about 2.5 hrs. We stopped halfway through on the way there and back for a bathroom or snack break, which helped the trip not feel long. Are drive was in July and it was winter. The driver gave us blankets which helped, but it was windy! Wished we had brought a face mask. We saw 3 out of the 5 Big 5. It was very enjoyable and lunch was a great break and really good hake. This is a great option if you aren’t planning to go and stay at a reserve.

it was educational however, you may need to manage your own expectations as its a natural habitat and not all the animals will be sighted as its quite a big area.

Amazing experience our drive Petrus was fun and engaging. It was extremely windy and cold but they gave us blankets. If you go in the winter layer up. We saw everything but the Lion

Had a great trip! Well worth the money! Saw plenty of animals and even got a free pickup at my hotel far away from the city center
