After collecting you form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg between 06:00 – 06:30, we travel to the Pilanesberg Nature Park
We should arrive at Pilanesberg Park around 9am where we will then board and start our 1st open vehicle safari drive ( +- 3 hours) in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park We will then have a short stop from 12 pm until 1 pm for lunch at Pilanebserg Center inside the middle of the park overlooking a beautiful waterhole . After Lunch we will depart on our 2nd Open Safari Drive (+-2 hours) we depart the park around 15h30 arriving back in Johannesburg between 17h30 to 18h00

Visit Pilanesberg Game Reserve from Johannesburg for a full-day safari. The tour includes return transportation to the park and two 2.5-hour game drives with a highly qualified ranger in an open vehicle. On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4x4 safari vehicle safari drive in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animal you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members of the Big 5.During the heat of the day you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon open vehicle safari drive. Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00 in order to arrive back in Johannesburg before sunset.

Great Wildlife Sightings, But Afternoon Could Be More Engaging

4.00Our Pilanesberg National Park Safari started strong – in the first half of the day we were lucky enough to see lions, hippopotamus, elephants, several rhinoceros, impala, wildebeest, giraffes, zebra, and waterbuck. It was an incredible variety of wildlife in just a few hours. However, the second half of the day felt a bit repetitive. It would have been nice to have a different activity or route to keep things engaging after such an exciting morning. Our guide was knowledgeable, but he still has room to grow in keeping guests engaged, as much of his time was spent talking on the radio. On the other hand, the driver who fetched and dropped us off was excellent – professional, friendly, and made the long journey (about 2 hours 45 minutes each way) comfortable. Overall, it’s a great safari for spotting animals, but with a little variety and more guest interaction, it could be even better.
If cats are I must then I don’t know

3.00Didn’t get to see and Cats or buffalo but got a show from the elephants, hippos were out and about a few rhinos marking their territory but really good experience

5.00Our driver Alex was kind and fun, making the early pick up more pleasant. Our guide in the park, Wisdom, was also sympathetic. When we were stuck behind a group of elephant he managed to make us safe while waiting for the road to be free. We saw 2/5 Big Five as during the days big lions, cheetahs and buffalos are sleeping. Everything is very well organised, from pick up at hotel to transfert back. There is even a vegetarian option for the métal.
