Discover one of the hidden gems of the Italian Food Valley: Calestano, a medieval village off the beaten path, perfect for an authentic and peaceful escape.
**IMPORTANT:** If you don’t have a car, you can require our transport service from the center of Parma to make your journey simple and stress-free.
With my guidance, you’ll prepare **tagliatelle** and **ravioli**, with seasonal fillings and sauces to taste the best of fresh, local ingredients. If you wish, you can enhance the experience by working with the prized **local black truffle**, which will make your dishes even more special.
At the end of the lesson, you’ll savor the pasta you made, accompanied by an aperitif with wine and local dishes. To finish, I’ll surprise you with my tiramisu, the best my friends have ever tasted (and I’m sure you’ll agree too!).

What To Expect
Discover Calestano, a hidden medieval village nestled in the hills, far from the hustle and bustle of the cities, in the heart of one of northern Italy’s richest truffle regions. **Important:** If you don’t have a car, you can require our transport service to make your journey stress-free. We’ll welcome you on our panoramic terrace, with breathtaking views of the Parma hills. Then, together, you’ll make both long and stuffed fresh pasta. If you wish, you can enhance your lesson by choosing the option with local black truffle, a regional delicacy that will make your dishes even more special. My mom Nadia will share stories and insights into Emilian cuisine, while Cesare, our cat, will likely keep you company with a few meows. At the end of the lesson, you’ll savor your creations with Parmigiano Reggiano, local cured meats, and a homemade tiramisu that, we guarantee, will win you over. Join us for an authentic experience in the heart of the Food Valley. We’ll be waiting for you with aprons on, and don’t forget to come hungry :) IMPORTANT: We have a cat

5.00Truly the highlight of our Parma experience! I cannot rate this high enough! Virginia was able to pick us up in the city center and bring us to the beautiful place her and her mother reside. Virginia is a fantastic instructor and we were able to relax on her balcony and eat some of the best pasta we’ve ever had. The ingredients were so fresh, we literally watched Virginia’s mom pick basil off of a plant on her balcony for our meal. We felt so at ease and would recommend this to anyone traveling to Parma!

5.00We took the train from Bologna to Parma, and thanks to Virginia for being our transfer driver as well as our host and teacher. Her mother was delightful, and Cesar the cat was very cute. Her home is situated in the town of Calestano... very beautiful. The view from the terrace is stunning. We had so much fun making ravioli with truffle ricotta filling as well as tagliatelle. Virginia is an excellent teacher, and is very patient. The aperitivo and wine were wonderful, as was the homemade tiramisù. The stars of our lunch however were our ravioli and the tagliatelle with homemade red sauce... buonissimo! Grazie mille a Virginia! Highly recommend this experience.
