Perched on a high plateau at the crossroads of the North and Center-West, this ancient city was once a powerhouse of Numidian and Roman wealth. From 2,800-year-old megalithic tombs to towering Roman monuments, Mactaris offers a rare, crowd-free look into Tunisia’s deep antiquity.
Discover the highest Berber village in Tunisia, Kesra is perched at 1100 meters above sea level and is considered among the first Berber villages. A natural fortress in itself, with its strategic position at altitude dominating the surrounding plains and the presence of natural water sources, The beauty of the panoramas as far as the eye can see over the fields and the landscapes of wild nature combined with the total absence of pollution, invite you to travel and provide a real cure for oxygenation, a real sanatorium as the legend of Kesra wants it.

Traveling with Ghassan was a delight! He has a great knowledge of his homeland of Tunisia and a passion to share it's history, people and customs with travelers. As a female traveling alone he made me feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend!
