• Amazing Day Trip to Munduk with Jungle Hike, Canoeing & Banyumala Waterfalls

  Highly recommendable and a fantastic day trip to the northern Bali area of Munduk. Our local guide Putu was amazing—very knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. The jungle hike followed by canoeing was a wonderful experience away from the crowded tourist attractions in the southern part of Bali. The Banyumala Twin Waterfall was another highlight and, in my opinion, the best waterfall in Bali. It features many smaller side waterfalls and plenty of space to explore. It’s about a 2-hour drive each way from Ubud, but I can highly recommend this trip.

  Our guide Agung led the trekking tour through the forest with us, organized the canoeing on the lake and took us to the waterfall. Afterwards there was a delicious meal (soup, main course, dessert) in a great location before we were driven back to the starting point of the tour - where our moped was located. Thanks to Agung for his informative tour (English pronunciation really very good) and that he shared his knowledge (plants, temple/religion & about life in Bali) with us.

  It was an amazing little trip with Krisna as our guide. She told us a lot of interesting facts about the jungle and its trees. Although she said she wasn’t a photographer she took beautiful pictures of us so I think she is a great photographer 🫶🏼. She also helped us with a driver to pick us up at our hotel, Edi, which was very sweet and kind. Overall, I would recommend this trip a 100% ✨

  We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour with Hendry. He was informative, interesting and incredibly knowledgeable. Most of all we loved the passion he had for his job. He even provided us with coffee and a snack on the way which I thought was very kind. He was very flexible with timings and afterwards asked if we wanted to stop somewhere for lunch even though this was not part of the activity. He is professional and I would highly recommend him as a tour guide anytime. This activity is good if you enjoy the outdoors and some light activity.

  Very satisfied with our guide Tya. The trip was perfectly planned, all parts blended seamlessly. Personal highlight was lunch at a local farm with probably the best coffee I have ever had. Absolutely recommend!

  It was a great experience which started with an easy trek through a jungle and ended with a beautiful view of a waterfall. We were also served some delicious rice cakes on the way. The guides had a lot of insights about the jungle flora.

  We had an amazing time with our guide Adi trekking through the jungle and canoeing. Walking through the dense forrest we learnt a lot about flowers, plants and trees, like the original banana tree. Additionally, the old temples and the waterfalls of Banyumala were beautiful to behold. The guide told us that around the temple, there used to be a village, but flooding caused people to move away, also giving a sense of how people live with their surroundings here.

  We were quite disappointed in the tour…. (we went September 2024). We had booked the tour at 10.00. When we arrived at the meeting point our guide wasn’t there, we called the booking company, eventually he arrived at around 10.30. In the information of the tour it said we would get a welcoming drink and cake, we didn’t get anything. We would go to two lakes, we only got to one. In a lot of reviews it says that people got traditional balinese food, we didn’t get it. We were also supposed to go to a market, but didn’t go there. In the information it said that the tour would take about 8 to 10 hours. Our tour took barely 3 hours. After the waterfalls we expected to go somewhere else because it had only been 3 hours but our guide just said ‘okay thanks for the tour, bye’. Maybe it depends on which guide you have because i see a lot of positive reviews on here, our guide didn’t seem to really want to make an afford, he also told us he was hangover haha. All in all we were quite disappointed (also for the price and what the tour was supposed to be).
