The city of Chefchaouen is far from Fez. It takes multiple hours each way to get there, and the roads are safe but have many twists and turns. You drive through many small villages and remote areas but it is a beautiful sight. Definitely recommend a private driver as he made us feel safe and we got to spend as much time as we wanted in Chefchaouen. Recommend leaving early as it can get dark on the drive home. The blue city itself is beautiful. There's not much else to do there, but it's worth going for the pictures. There are a lot of locals trying to be guides. It is preferable to go with a guide, or you can choose to explore on your own. If you're going alone, be aware that anyone who offers to take your picture or wants to show you around will likely expect payment or ask for money. This trip DOES NOT come with a tour guide, so be prepared to find one or plan for one separately.

Little hectic to do it in a day…. 8 hours drive and 2 to 3 hours of sightseeing. Overall good experience

This is a long day from Fes with a 3 Hour drive to and from Chefchouen, but it was definitely worth visiting this beautiful city. We had limited time in the area in general and I’m so glad that we made the trip. We had about 3 1/2 hours to explore and have something to eat.. Be prepared for some crazy driving though!

We started the day with a disagreement that the company manager was able to resolve with cunning and immediateity. That’s when Soufian showed up to accompany me on a pleasant experience, treated me like a brother and worried about having me well taken care of. Thanks, a hug.

We used Bekben Travel for a day trip to Chefchaouen (from Fes). Hicham was our driver and he was excellent! We had such a good experience with Bekben Travel that we used them again a few days later for transport from our riad to the Fes train station. It was again an excellent experience with another great driver (Hamza). Both cars were clean and comfortable and both of our drivers were good drivers who were friendly and knowledgeable.

Sufyan was such an excellent guide! The long drive was smooth and pleasant. Sufyan was so knowledgeable about Moroccan history and culture, making our journey very enjoyable and rewarding. I scheduled a photo shoot in Chefchaouen, so I booked the private transportation from Fes. The company provided good communication before the trip. The driver arrived on time, made sure I was comfortable in the vehicle, and explained how long it would take to arrive (3.5hrs). He asked if I wanted to stop at various locations to take pictures. About midway, we stopped to use the rest rooms & to grab a snack. We arrived an hour before my scheduled shoot, just enough time to grab lunch. When the shoot was over, the driver promptly picked me up at the drop off point & we headed back to Fes. We stopped at the same rest stop for rest room break & snacks. Overall, a good day trip.

I cannot recommend Bekben Travel enough, especially our fantastic driver, Hamza. We initially booked transport through our Riad for a round trip from Fez to Chefchaouen, but we’re so glad we canceled it at the last minute and chose Hamza instead. As a parent traveling with an infant, there are certain aspects I am very particular about: a private ride, affordability, cleanliness, and most importantly, a safe and reliable driver. Hamza exceeded all expectations in every area. Not only was the SUV clean and comfortable, but Hamza was incredibly professional and accommodating, even at the last minute. The journey was smooth and, despite the multiple police checkpoints (which we were warned about), Hamza managed to navigate the route efficiently, getting us to our destinations ahead of schedule. There are numerous speed traps and checkpoints along the way, and the police were actively looking for ways to fine drivers, but Hamza’s experience and calm demeanor kept everything under control. Hamza went above and beyond by connecting with our child, making the trip even more enjoyable. He had a great playlist for kids and even made some scenic stops, allowing us to enjoy breathtaking views and buy fresh oranges from a local farm. Along the way, Hamza shared helpful tips for the rest of our journey and kindly offered his assistance if we needed anything beyond this trip. When we arrived in Chefchaouen, Hamza arranged a fantastic local guide to show us around the beautiful blue city. The guide was knowledgeable and helped us navigate the narrow streets, making the experience even more enriching. We also appreciate Hamza’s thoughful gesture for offering us help on anything beyond our Fes trip. He asked to contact him if we ran into any issues. If you are planning a trip to Morocco, especially if you're traveling with kids or need a reliable and safe driver, I wholeheartedly recommend Hamza and Bekben Travel. It was truly a pleasure, and we are grateful for the wonderful experience!
