Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Your local friendly guide and the driver will pick up you from your Shanghai hotel. Enjoy the comfortable ride in the air-conditioned car to Zhujiajiao ancient water town,on the way by passing some of the city's amazing skylines. Established as early as 1700 years ago, Zhujiajiao still retains its typical Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses . Upon arrival, spend some quality time to wander around the old alley streets full of local flavors and appreciate the enchanting township senery along the riverside while learning the interesting local culture, history and custom. Visit the peaceful Kezhi garden from the Qing Dynasty, once a private garden owned by the local wealthy family, indulge yourself in the beautiful natural landscape of this ancient garden dotted with the ponds, pavilions and bridges. Pay a visit to the local "City God Temple " to learn the fasinating local religious culture and custom. Sample some of the local authentic food with the recommendations from your guide ;enjoy a relaxing gondola ride along the ancient water town to fully appreciate the charming of the "Oriental Venice". After the tour is finished, you will be dropped off back to Shanghai as you need.

5.00Our guide Robert was fantastic! We did a walking tour and boat ride in Zhujiajiao. Robert was very knowledgeable about the town and the house we visited. He was very accommodating when we wanted to stop and shop and helped us communicate with the shop owners. We had a nice dinner on the water and everything was delicious. I mentioned that I wanted to try the local dish of sticky rice and he made it happen. I highly recommend Robert as a tour guide and visiting Zhujiajiao.

5.00Great experience overall. The hotel pickup was very convenient, and since it was just the two of us, we had great interaction with the guide. Yun (our guide) was very helpful, well prepared, and always ready to answer our questions. The included lunch was excellent, and we appreciated the chance to try authentic local dishes.

5.00Absolutely an amazing tour with Lea! This was by far the highlight of our trip to Shanghai. It was great to get out of the city and see a more “local” version of China. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and had a 1 hour drive. The vehicle was new and very nice. When we arrived we walked along the street on the riverfront and were surprised at all the wonderful food (with samples). We had done a food tour the night before and this had so many new items that we had not seen or tasted. This part alone was better than a paid food tour! The boat ride was absolutely amazing and allowed us to get some beautiful pictures from the scenic area. Lea is very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. She speaks extremely clear and concise English. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

5.00Had a fantastic tour of the Zhujiajiao water town with our Guide Cassie who was engaging and very knowledgeable she made our trip. The ride in a luxurious car was a great start. The gardens were beautiful, and the boat trip took us down very scenic areas. Then a walk throught the alleyways a feast for the eyes. Would recommend.
