  Five stars for ICY! She is knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. She made the history of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City come alive with her deep expertise. She even took some of our favorite family photos of the whole trip! made what could have been a stressful logistics day feel like a breeze. Thank you, icy, for such a memorable experience.

  I am writing to give my highest recommendation for Linda, an exceptional tour guide at the Palace Museum. Prior to this visit, I anticipated that exploring the Palace Museum would consist of merely viewing its iconic red walls, yellow tiles, and imperial palaces, which could easily feel like a superficial experience. However, Linda’s lively and informative commentary transformed our journey, immersing us in the history of the Forbidden City as if we had stepped back in time hundreds of years. Her expertise is extensive and profound; instead of delivering monotonous historical recitations, she shared intriguing anecdotes tucked away in the palace’s nooks and crannies—including the significance of the auspicious beasts on the Hall of Supreme Harmony’s roof, the imperial power dynamics linked to the plaque in the Palace of Heavenly Purity, and the detailed daily protocols of palace attendants, all narrated with great vividness. Beyond her knowledge, Linda demonstrated remarkable care for every member of our group, particularly the elderly and children. She maintained an ideal pace throughout the tour, ensuring no one felt fatigued. For popular attractions, she skillfully navigated around peak crowds, guided us to optimal photography locations, and assisted us in capturing numerous memorable photos. At the conclusion of the tour, all participants were reluctant to leave and gathered around Linda to inquire about various little-known facts about the Palace Museum. I wholeheartedly recommend Linda to anyone planning a visit to the Palace Museum; her service will undoubtedly make your tour far more enriching and rewarding.

  I’m totally raving about Linda, my tour guide for the Palace Museum! She made this trip absolutely unforgettable. I originally thought visiting the Palace Museum would just be about admiring the red walls, yellow tiles, and grand palaces—easy to rush through without really absorbing anything. But Linda’s vivid and engaging storytelling transported us straight back to the Forbidden City of centuries ago. Her knowledge is incredibly solid; she didn’t just recite dry historical facts, but shared all sorts of fascinating little stories hidden in every corner—like the symbolic meanings of the mythical beasts on the roof of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the power struggles behind the plaque in the Palace of Heavenly Purity, and even the daily rules for palace maids and eunuchs, all told in such a vivid way. What’s more, she was so thoughtful with the elderly and kids in our group, keeping the perfect pace so no one got tired. For popular spots, she cleverly avoided the crowds, led us to the best photo spots, and helped us capture so many amazing moments. When the tour ended, we all didn’t want it to be over—we crowded around her asking all kinds of fun lesser-known facts about the Palace Museum. If you’re visiting the Palace Museum, I highly recommend booking Linda as your guide. She’ll double, even triple, the value of your trip!

  We had a very pleasant tour thanks to ms lcy.Although it is -2 C and we have kids with us, all went well and she also help us taking a lot of family photos which we seldom have in our China trip. Ms lcy even prepare a heat pack for us which is really nice. The historical and detailed explanation is awe inspiring for us (me especially) getting to know a lot about Chinese Dynasty before. Ms lcy also give us a very good advice on local's places for eating and shopping which we tried it all. thank you ms lcy for the wonderful tour.

  Snow knows how to entertain people. She is a good speaker (really good English) and she is always available to all group necessities. I really appreciate her way of explaining Chinese Culture and history. Highly recommended, so far she is the best guide we found in China.

  Linda was a great guide! Friendly and very knowledgeable of the Palaces history. The trip was about 4 hours and it was great having a guide in the massive area of the forbidden city. She knew where to go and was super friendly

  Nice tour in a group of ~15 people, the guide takes you all together and it allows to skip most of the queues (which are very long). Also good communication, easy to find your guide in the morning since they send you the meeting information and check you understand how to get there :)

  My guide Icy was excellent. From the night before the tour and throughout my entire stay, she was highly responsive, informative, and always available for questions. The tour itself went very smoothly. Icy shared fascinating historical facts and stories, answered all our questions patiently, and allowed plenty of time for photos and rest. I'm very glad I chose this tour instead of exploring on my own, as she clearly explained important security rules and photo etiquette specific to the Forbidden City and square. Icy is a very knowledgeable guide who made our visit both enjoyable and educational. Highly recommended!
