Come and experience the wonders of the Pilanesberg Nature reserve in full day open safari drive . Have the opportunity to view the big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), up close and personal.
We collect everyone from there hotels in or Pretoria Johannesburg around 530 to 6 am before we head out on safari.
We have a short stop half way to Pilanesberg for some refreshments . Our open safari experience starts around 9 am and ends around 3 pm . We do have a 1 hour lunch stop at the Pilanesberg Center over looking a small watering hole .
We exit the park around 3 pm and estimated time of arrival back in Johannesburg is approximately 1730 to 18h00. We can have you at the airport but remember to bring your luggage with you .
Sightings in Pilanesberg are amazing . We only use small 10 seater vehicles and our guides are all extremely passionate qualified with extra in-house training .

Pilanesberg National Park
After collecting you form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg between 06:00 – 06:30, we travel to the Pilanesberg Nature reserve. On arrival your guide will take you on an exciting morning open 4×4 safari vehicle safari drive in search of the Animals that inhabit the National Park. Our guides are knowledgeable and will give you in depth information on the animal you are viewing and try their out-most to find the members of the Big 5. During the heat of the day you will enjoy lunch at one of the many rest camps in the National Park before departing on an afternoon closed vehicle safari drive. Our vehicles depart the National Park between 15:30 – 16:00 in order to arrive

5.00The Full Day Pilanesburg Experience was absolutely amazing! To begin, pickup from our hotel went seamlessly. Though the drive to the park was about 2.5 hrs, our driver, Simon, did a great job of telling us fun facts about the tour. At first, we were worried the rainy/cool weather would keep most the animals in hiding. But the sky began to clear up as soon as we arrived at the park. Our guide, Petrus, was incredibly informative and very skilled at spotting animals even in the distance. We saw rhinos, giraffes, elephants, hippos, wildebeast, zebra, and a mix of other flaura and fauna. We didn't see the lions, but the trip was still very worthwhile! All in all, I cannot recommend this tour with MoAfrika tours enough!

5.00What a great experience! I had an amazing time in Pilanesburg Park seeing the Big 5. Our guide Chris was amazing and explained so much about the animals, their habits and things to look out for during the drive. I will definitely come back for another safari in South Africa!

5.00A great way to spend the one day I had in South Africa! Pick up and drop off from my hotel at the airport made it easy. It was a long drive to and from Johannesburg, but worth it! I saw 4 of the big 5 on my first ever game drive, plus many other species. Martin was an excellent guide, he clearly cares and knows a lot about the animals.

5.00I booked a day trip to Pilanesberg National Park with MoAfrika Tours, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our driver Nicky was incredibly friendly, punctual and made the ride very enjoyable. Once in the park, we were guided by Kathy, who was absolutely fantastic. Her passion for wildlife and deep knowledge of the park were truly impressive. Thanks to her, we got to see so many animals and learn and laughed so much, you could really feel how much she loves what she does! Everything was perfectly organized, and I felt well taken care of throughout the entire day. 100% recommended. I would book with MoAfrika Tours again anytime!

5.00I really enjoyed the Safari tour. I've taken the full day Pilanesberg Safari tour. Everything was fabulous. We have seen many animals. We had a delicious Braai in the bush with the view on the lake. Our tour guide Debbie took a good care of us. She was explaining interesting facts about the animals which we have seen. Debbie also provided blankets and a cold water for us if needed. I would highly recommend the MoAfrika Safari tour. Thank you for the beautiful experience.
