Taste your way through maple tradition with a fully guided Sugar Bush experience led by a certified Maple Syrup Grader and Judge! You’ll visit a working sugar shack, taste raw sap (weather dependent), have traditional maple taffy over snow and enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast with all the fixings.
You’ll also taste award-winning Maple Syrup grades and learn how maple syrup is made, from its Indigenous origins to present day, during a tour of the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario.
From tapping trees to tapping kegs – this tour caps-off at a nearby sustainable farmstead brewery where you’ll warm up by the fire with a tasting flight.

5.00Oh, meeting Tamara on her tour bus was SO convenient as it was closer to home than I expected - not 1 but 2 pick up locations was proved to be extremely helpful. Gorgeous bus with plenty of room and amenities and I appreciate how she drove - careful, thoughtful and full of knowledge regarding the areas we were driving through. Loved the sugar bush in Hillsburgh and the staff was amazing - Derek and Fred! As for the all you can eat pancake, bacon, sausage and cider breakfast - we ate and ate a ton. lol! Loved the Maple Syrup talk - I was surprised to learn things I didn't know prior and the grounds were lovely and eco mindful (defintiely) - a diverse variety of peeps visiting the farm on the weekend which made it Oh so, Canadian :))) Loved the Museum. Bought some syrup after taste testing and then REALLY enjoyed the beer flight, music and interior space provided by GoodLot Brewing Co. thank you Tam and Rural Route! Sincerely M & S from Dundas ON - so delighted we won your contest! Will do another in the summertime or fall :))
