Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)
The Great Pyramid of Cheops, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, is the largest and most impressive of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau. Standing at 146.6 meters (481 feet), it was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Built as a tomb for the Pharaoh Khufu, it is a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering and precision. The pyramid originally featured a smooth limestone casing, reflecting sunlight and giving it a brilliant appearance. Inside, it houses the King’s Chamber, containing a sarcophagus, and an intricate network of passages and chambers. 5.00I visited the pyramids as a solo traveler. My guide was Yasmine and driver Hejazy. They were both truly amazing. They offer pick up and drop off , they were extremely flexible with my programme, really friendly and also helped with advice. Tour with jasmine was more than enjoyable. Everything felt extremely safe and I can strongly recommend them to everyone who wants to go to the pyramids with local guides.

From hotel pickup to the final drop-off, everything was seamless, informative, and unforgettable. Mohamed’s knowledge of Egyptian history is unbelievable. He explained every detail of the Pyramids, Sphinx, and all the sites we visited with passion and clarity—far beyond anything listed in the tour description. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made the entire day special. We also loved the personal touches: a fantastic local lunch, stops for authentic herbs and oils, beautiful artwork, and of course the ATV ride through the desert, which exceeded all expectations. It was a full and amazing day from 9 AM to 3 PM, and we left feeling like we truly experienced Egypt. We’re already planning to come back and tour with Mohamed again. 1000000% recommend—thank you both for an unforgettable experience! We made friends today!!!
