The Kathmandu 1-day Hiking Tour is for those who want to enjoy a brilliant walk in the outskirts of the valley. The hiking tour allows its participants to enjoy the beautiful green forests, meadows, and farmlands which are abundant in the outskirts of the valley and also discover the culture and customs of the Nepalese people along the way.
Jamacho Day Hike, as the name suggests, can be done in one day. Jamacho day hike is one of the popular short hikes in Nepal. At the top of a hill in Shivapuri National Park, there is a Buddhist shrine called Jamacho Gumba. A view tower stands there which offers a bird’s-eye view of the Kathmandu valley and on a clear day you can see the magnificent Himalayas in the north. And on a smaller hill below you can see Swayambhunath aka the Monkey Temple.
It is also a great way to enjoy the distant views of the mountains in a very quaint setting.

The Gokyo trek is an amazing quieter alternative to Everest Base Camp. I have been wanting to visit the Nepali Himalay for many years and then discovered this alternative to EBC. We were a small group, which made it more intimate and supportive. Our guide Pooja was really attentive and knowledgeable, guiding, checking in with us each evening. I really loved the tea houses we visited along the way, the friendliness of the hosts and also interacting with local people. Some tea houses did feel a bit chilly the higher we went, but that is to be expected. The weather did challenge us on the last leg towards Gokyo with rain and snow. Unfortunately I caught a bad cold which I am still trying to shake off but despite not being lucky with the weather. It was a really lovely and memorable experience

I’ve just got back from an incredible two-week hiking trip in Nepal and honestly, I can’t thank The Adventure People enough for the experience. Our guide, Parakesh, was amazing. He was super clear with the plans each day, really looked after us, and always kept the mood positive—even when the hikes got tough! He shared loads of interesting facts about the mountains and local life, and made sure we felt safe and supported the whole way through. He struck the perfect balance between giving us freedom and keeping things on track. Also, massive shoutout for getting rid of the spiders for me—absolute legend. When we had to change our route last minute from EBC to ABC because of riots and bad weather, Indira jumped in straight away and came up with a new plan. She was so responsive and flexible, which made everything so much easier. One of the best things about going with a company like this is that everything’s sorted before you even get there. We didn’t have to stress about anything and could just focus on enjoying the trip—which we definitely did! And last but definitely not least, a huge thank you to our porter Suzi. He carried 30kg like it was nothing and did it all with a smile. His strength and energy were incredible—he really did take a huge weight off our shoulders (literally). This was a trip I’ll never forget. I'm so grateful for the people who made it so special. Would 100% recommend The Adventure People if you're thinking about hiking in Nepal! – Keira

My friend and I had an excellent experience through Icicles Adventure Treks and Tours with their 18-day Annapurna Circuit package. The trek was outstanding with every day being unique and enjoyable at we treked from Jagat (1100m) and up the Menang side of the Annapurna's and eventually across Thorong la Pass (5,416m) and then down the Mustang side. The service and local knowledge from the Icicles team was outstanding from arrival to departure in Kathmandu. Icicles are a long-term tour operator whom we have also used in prior years with similar excellent service.
