We’ll tour at a gentle pace during sunset – the most relaxing time of day, when the streets are cooler and the town glows with golden light. Come hungry, because you’ll enjoy a feast of Hoi An’s tastiest dishes and drinks, visiting hidden gems and local-favorite eateries that most visitors miss. Eat and drink as much as you like, guided by a true food expert.
Your tour includes all food and drinks, starts right at your hotel, and ends either back at your hotel or at any spot you choose in Hoi An.

Meet up at Local Buddy Tours office (inside Song Thanh riverside restaurant) for a welcome drink such as coffee/ cocktail/ beer/ soft drink. Soon after that, we'll walk along the Thu Bon riverbank to explore Hoi An's hidden streets and alleys, a little outside of the touristy areas. Sit down among the locals to sample delicious food, snacks & drinks.
Hoi An Market
Walking through small alleyways, we stop at several street vendors and restaurants to try some of the best food and most famous dishes Hoi An has to offer. In the hidden places, it is easy to miss by outsiders. A quick visit to Hoi An central market to see local life at the busiest time of the day, when all local produce is fully displayed, the dealers and buyers are hassling in front of you. Here in the market, we will enjoy some tasty local snacks and drinks from friendly vendor owners. Local food options: 1/ White rose dumplings. 2/ Pork skewers. 3/ Banh Mi. 4/ Cao Lau noodles. 5/ My Quang noodles. 6/ Banh Xeo savory pancakes. 7/ Nem Ran spring rolls. 8/ Banh Chuoi banana pancakes. 9/ Ice cream. 10/ Local beer/ juice/ soft drinks. You will sit among locals and enjoy the amazing taste of Hoi An. According to your dietary restrictions and preferences, our local guide will take you to the most suitable food and drink places.

5.00We booked a private tour as a couple. Our guide Chicky was fun, showed us a wide variety of different foods and we tasted a lot (but couldn’t manage everything!). Making the wan ton was fun. Extremely friendly and helpful guide, booked taxi and waited with us. Great evening!

5.00Jonny was a fabulous tour guide. He took us to some lovely little restaurant’s and we tasted a number of local dishes and learnt to eat them the traditional way, all while seeing the sights of Hoi an.

5.00The night market and lantern tour was amazing. We had a great time with Carol, she took us to Local restaurants where we had delicious food!! The lantern boat was great and we also had time for a bit of market shopping. Quang our driver was great, very funny and has a great sense of humour. Thanks Team!! 😀

5.00I highly recommend the Hoi An sunset walking food tour. My guide Thanh ⭐️⭐️⭐️ was really good and shared lots of information about Hoi An and its food and history. We ate a fantastic selection of great food and drinks from the market, local restaurants, road side stalls and hidden restaurants away from the main tourist areas and had the opportunity to see what and how the local Hoi Ans eat. We finished down at the waterfront to see the beautiful lanterns and boats on the river. It was a wonderful opportunity to have Thanh as my guide as he is a local and knows Hoi An inside out. The tour was really well paced and we finished the tour with a delicious mango 🥭 icecream.

5.00We have just returned from the sunset walking tour which was the best tour we have done. John made the evening magical and was very informative and looked after us so well. I would highly recommend this is a must do for anyone visiting Hoi An.
