Known locally as Millionaires Viewpoint this has to be 2 of the most scenic scenes in the Highlands of Scotland. The name originates from the entrepreneur Andrew Carnaigie who's home was once Skibo castle. It is said he would bring all of his visiting friends to this point to show them the views.

Dornoch Cathedral

The name 'Dornoch' is derived from the Gaelic for 'pebbly place', suggesting that the area contained pebbles the size of a fist (dorn) which could therefore be used as weapons.[4] Dornoch has the thirteenth-century Dornoch Cathedral, the Old Town Jail, and the previous Bishop's Palace which is now the well-known hotel, Dornoch Castle and a notable golf course, the Royal Dornoch Golf Club, named the 5th best golf course outside the United States. It is also notable as the last place a witch was burnt in Scotland. Her name was reported as Janet Horne; she was tried and condemned to death in 1727. There is a stone, the Witch's Stone, commemorating her death, inscribed with the year 1722

I concur with everything in Lisa C review. Her party of 2 and our party of 3 were on the same tour and it was a wonderful experience. We had a delay getting off the ship, so we called the company and let them know. They were wonderful and understanding. The tour had 5 people and was in a van with sliding doors on both sides, so small group and easy in and out at stops. David was our guide and he was wonderful. He asked the group at each stop if we wanted to stay longer or have a quick photo. Our group opted for a quick photo at the distillery and spent more time looking at the Heather and views of the moors. The countryside was gorgeous and David provided a lot of helpful information. Dunrobin castle was great, but the gardens and falconry display there were our favorites. I would highly recommend this tour and David. They made our day wonderful and left us with many memories.

We had a wonderful day with David as our guide. We especially enjoyed Dunrobin Castle and the falconry demonstration. David is a great guide and very knowledgeable about the area. Even if it was a set itinerary we really felt we got a personalized experience. A very big thank you for this memorable tour.

Alistair took us on amazing shore excursion exploring the highlands. Even saw wild salmon jumping at the Falls of Shin. Saw so much more from his comfortable minivan than you ever would on a ship excursion and learnt so much about the history as his knowledge is extraordinary. 189 room Dunrobin castle was such an eye opener and Donach is everything you hope for in a Scottish highland village. An absolutely brilliant day

All though the sun was not shining had a great time with Sarah who took us to Dunrobin castle, Dornoch and more (truly appreciated the more). She pointed out sites that you might not have looked at originally.

Alistair is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgable and accommodating. The tour included scenic view points, visit to a salmon leap and the enchanting Dunrobin Castle and Gardens which were beautiful.We rounded off with a visit to Dornoch and a distillery. A lovely day

Richie was great! We were able to see a lot of the beauty of the country before visiting the Castle. He was very personable and knowledgeable that it made the trip a perfect experience.
