Unlike the crowded Gili Trawangan, Meno, and Air, the Gili Gede cluster is quiet, untouched, and far less touristy. You’ll enjoy peaceful snorkeling with minimal boat traffic and clear visibility.

Great trip. It's a private trip so it's completely flexible - stay as long as you want on one island, skip another or just go with the guide's recommendation. The snorkelling was fun in clear, warm water with plenty to look at and none of the crowds found on the Northern islands. Abundant fish and a few turtles to see too. Lunch wasn't included but we stopped at Gili Layar where there was a good selection of quality, inexpensive Indonesian food right next to the beach - perfect. Our guide, Malachi, was entertaining, knowledgeable and has good English.
