• Great tour if you can get to the starting point in time.

  Kaan was our tour guide and he was very informative and helpful giving us a great your experience. The only problem was getting to the starting point from our hotel. The tour operator did not provide hotel pickup. We did not realise that it was not possible to get a taxi exactly to the meeting point as the area was pedestrianised. We were told at the hotel that we couldn't even get near it by taxi and had to take a train. We tried that but as we were new to Istanbul we couldn't find out how to use it and nobody was able to help us. Eventually we managed to find a taxi to get nearer to the starting point but even then it was difficult to tind. Fortunately we were only five minutes late and the guide had waited. Don't do tours in Istanbul unless you can get hotel pickup or you know your way around very well.

  Murat is a wonderful tour guide. He was very professional, knowledgeable and cordial. He was accommodating to a guest who had mobility issues, however not impacting our tour. We would recommend this tour and guide for any traveler interested in extensive information and cultural history about of Turkey.

  A very interesting and efficient tour. Our guide, Kaan, was extremely knowledgeable, funny and conveyed a lot of information without overwhelming us. The three sites (Hagia Sophia, cisterns, and Topkapi Palace) are each excellent but definitely better enjoyed with a good guide.

  Can’t say enough about this tour — it was absolutely excellent. The small group size made it feel personal and relaxed, and our guide was fantastic: knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply engaged with the sites, culture, and history. Our guide (I'm sorry, I don't remember her name - but had a brilliant patterned jacket and also taught Art/History at the University) was wonderful. We visited all three sites — Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern — and were truly inundated with fascinating details about not just the monuments themselves, but also Turkish and Muslim culture. Our guide’s passion for Istanbul came through in every story she told, and even in her affection for the local cats, some of whom she greeted by name and treated along the way — a delightful touch that made the day feel warm and authentic. This was a perfect first-day activity in Istanbul for our family, setting the tone for the rest of our visit. Skip-the-line tickets worked well and helped us maximize our time at each location.
