Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque
Hagia Sophia is one of the most iconic and historically significant buildings in the world. Originally constructed as a cathedral by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I between 532 and 537 AD, it was the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years. 5.00Here’s the updated version with that personal touch added smoothly: We had an incredible experience with our guide Aytaç in Istanbul. From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. He was superb, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. His explanations were detailed and easy to understand, and he brought the history, culture, and stories of Istanbul to life in a way that kept us engaged throughout the tour. Aytaç also gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations, all of which were excellent. He took the time to explain each place, what made it special, and what dishes to try, which added a really nice personal touch to our experience. He made sure we were informed about every place we visited and was always happy to answer our questions. He even helped us take amazing photos at the best spots, which we truly appreciated and will treasure. Thanks to Aytaç, our time in Istanbul was truly memorable and enjoyable. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the city who wants an amazing, informative, and thoughtfully planned tour.

5.00The tour guide was truly wonderful—an energetic and knowledgeable 72-year-old with deep insights into the city and its landmarks. However, our driver seemed quite stressed about navigating from point A to point B. To be fair, we did alter the schedule a bit, but his loud expressions and what felt like yelling made me a bit anxious. Despite this, everything turned out fine, and they got us to the right location. The journey between stops was a bit confusing, and the lack of communication with the driver added some stress. Nonetheless, the tour guide was fantastic.

5.00Kenan was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Istanbul and Turkey. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and helped us better understand the culture, traditions and history. He provided unique insights and local perspective that we value when we travel to new places. We appreciate that Kenan was flexible and willing to offer many options for the tour to match our interests. We highly recommend Kenan as a guide!

5.00It was a phenomenal experience. Burak went above and beyond to guide us through centuries of rich history and culture of Istanbul. He knows the best spots for photos, great shops to explore in the grand bazar and gave us many recommendations for us to continue to enjoy the best of Istanbul.

5.00Had a very good private tour wth Volkan. What I appreciated was he let us tailor the experience, allowing us to linger at the palace but then skip the ceramics and carpet factory. Also gave us solid candid advice about what was worth and what wasn't worth the admission ticket. I would recommend him to friends.

It was my first time in Istanbul, and I wanted to take my time sightseeing at my own pace, seeing the places I wanted to see, so I found and booked this walking tour. It was a great decision! I was also happy to meet my guide, Burak. He's a great person. He picked me up at my hotel, and even though I only speak a little English, I was able to spend a fulfilling day there. The tour was scheduled to start and the time I wanted to arrive at the hotel, and it was completed exactly as requested. It was fun!!

5.00Traveling with my 21 year old son, this private tour with Fettah was the best way to spend our first day in Istanbul and exceeded all expectations!!! We chose a private tour, so to get our bearings and help set priorities for making the most of the rest of our trip. Fettah was very knowledgeable and hospitable. And, what we most enjoyed was his sincerity, kindness and generosity of time. He asked lots of questions about us and our interests and catered our tour to ensure we not only visited the popular monuments and tourist stops but also got to experience the street food and local shops that brought the modern day Turkish culture to life. He was willing to stay as long as there was more we wanted to see. With Fettah in charge, we could enjoy the surroundings instead of looking all day at the map on our phones and worrying about the battery running out. The street food and restaurants he recommended were both delicious and a fraction of the price of what we were finding through our own research and recommendations from our hotels. My son and I felt much more confident exploring Istanbul after spending the day learning from Fettah. The investment in this tour was worth every penny!
