In this experience, you will get to visit about 3 of our favorite breweries located in the Nada area of Kobe. You will taste the differences between sakes—the highest quality, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and many other seasonable sakes. This tour includes an enriching experience in sake production. You will not only get to taste a wide variety of sake but also learn to appreciate them. A friendly English-speaking guide is present to answer any of your questions along the way.
This tour is a walking tour which is planned to drink Sake safely during the hot and humid summer in Japan ( we only walk about 1.5km, but can visit about 3 breweries, taking lot of cooling time in between)

Kobe Shushinkan Brewery
Since its founding in 1751, Kobe Shushinkan has maintained the name "Fukuju" as a sake brewery dedicated to handcrafted production. By using high-quality ingredients, the sensitivity of the brewers, and investing time and effort, they aim to carry the rich value of sake into the future. As their brand purpose, "Fukuju" cherishes providing moments that enrich the hearts of those who drink it, making life a little happier. In terms of the brand scene, they aspire to be a presence that accompanies not only special occasions but also the small joys shared in everyday life. Fukuju aims to continue being an entity that softens and fills with happiness not only those who drink it, but also the brewers, the local community, and the world around them.
Okage Tofuan
"Founded over 60 years ago, we make fresh tofu every morning and deliver it with care to our customers. Our shop is surrounded by historic sake breweries—like sake, great tofu begins with pure water. Crafted the traditional way, our tofu is delicate, clean, and full of flavor. Please stop by and taste the difference. If your timing is right, you can enjoy our just-made ganmodoki (tofu and vegetable fritters) straight from the kitchen. Please note: On Sundays and public holidays the tofu shop is closed, so we will not stop there and tofu tastings will not be available."

If you want to explore a variety of sake then this trip is for you. Hiroman did an excellent job oof explaining the different types of sake and how sake is made. Plus he provided extra sake along the way. Everyone had a good time with Hiroman. This would be a fun tour with friends as well.

The entire experience was great, close and informative. Hiro was an excellent host and made us feel really welcome and excited for the sake breweries. Visited 4 different sake breweries and a tofu shop at a moderate pace, great energy throughout.

Hiro was an informative and engaging guide to Kobe sake and distilleries. Our purpose was to become more confident when buying sake and we definitely think this tour helped with that. We visited four distilleries and had multiple tastings of different sakes at each distillery. We tried an extensive range of sakes including some less common varieties. We also learned of the complex process of distilling sake. If you want an in-depth tour on sake I would highly recommend this!

We had a great afternoon exploring 5 sake breweries with our tour guide Hiro who was very knowledgeable about the sake brewing process. Without her extra information, many of our questions would have been unanswered as most sake breweries the tours are self led and you are just expected to read about the process or look at exhibits. Our small group of 8 Australians was just the right amount of people, all friendly and fun. The extra stop/snack at a tofu factory was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend this tour.

It’s a good way to learn how sake is made and the history behind the processes. There’s plenty of good sakes to sample and Hiro does a great job answering questions. Good day!
