Visit the island of La Gomera on a day trip from southern Tenerife, and experience its sights, culture and food with a local guide! A haven of peace with dramatic terrain, the island is often considered as the gem of the Canarian archipelago. Discover landmarks such as Columbus House in the capital of San Sebastian, ogle the views from Mirador de Las Carboneras, The natural rock monument Roque de Agando enjoy a 2-course lunch in a quaint village, and then watch a ‘silbo gomero’ (local whistling language) demonstration. The meal will be traditional Canarian. I a special dietary meal is required let us know beforehand so this can be arranged. You will have stops for photos at popular and famous Gomeran locations. Step back in time to an island which doesnt even have a motorway.

Driving the the area stops may be made for photos and enjoy the views. The beautiful mysterious laurel forrests and views over the Atlantic looking at Tenerife Mount Teide volcano.
Torre del Conde Park
You will have some time in San Sebastian to take a walk to see the Torre Del Conde. A medeival fortification build around 1470 as a defence for the island.

5.00The collection from our hotel was on time and our Introduction to Enrico was in perfect English. He speaks in 4 or 5 languages throughout the journey around La Gomera. Hilarious tales of his life's various twists and turns literally as we are twisting and turning around sharp hairpin bends. All relevant information and tastefully considered for all ages and ears. A special thanks to "F1 Pepe" our bus driver for the days' miles through the twisty and quite frightening heights of La Gomeras' volcanoes and forrest terrain. His safe and efficient driving is the reason for his F1 status. Not his speed. ;) Sadly we could not see the peaks of the Chimney :( Mist/fog/horizontal rain, spoiled the late morning views from above. Lunch was a truly magnificent experience. Clean, precise and beautifuly presented food. I recommend the fish and red wine. After lunch it's a leisurely pace back to San Sebastian for 45mins free time before the last ferry departure at 1730. An eleven and a half hour day (including transfers and ferries) of wonderous sights, cliffs, volcanoes, ravine, gorges, dams, forrests, desert like conditions mixed with local knowledge, whistling languages and good humour. 11 out of 10

4.00Very good tour guide! Pick up perfect. Nice trip over the island. The only downside was lunch. It was very small. I was happy to be able to eat a bread I had brought from home afterwards.

5.00Very nice excursion many things to discover The guide spoke English German and French she was dynamic and friendly The bus driver at the arrival of the ferry was excellent because he maneuvered the roads in yaws and turns Only downside the meal was any and very fast but we had a great day

3.00Not a great trip. Lunch was terrible and tour guide had to deal with to many languages, which made the narrative very hard to follow. You need to be prepared to spend a lot of time on the coach.
