Emerald Lake
Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, is a stunning alpine lake known for its vibrant turquoise waters and surrounding mountain peaks. Visitors can enjoy hiking the scenic loop trail, canoeing in the summer, or cross-country skiing in the winter. Nearby attractions include the Natural Bridge and chances to spot wildlife like moose or mountain goats. The lakeside Emerald Lake Lodge offers cozy accommodations and dining, making it a perfect year-round getaway in the Canadian Rockies.
Natural Bridge
Travelers visiting Natural Bridge in Yoho National Park are treated to a striking example of nature's artistry. This unique rock formation, carved by the erosive power of the Kicking Horse River, creates a natural arch that spans the river's flow. The bridge is easily accessible, located just 3 kilometers west of Field on Emerald Lake Road, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the area. Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts +2 field.ca +2 field.ca +2 The formation is a testament to the relentless forces of nature; over time, the river's current has eroded the softer rock beneath a hard limestone layer, creating a gap through which the water now flows. This geological wonder is best viewed from the bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River, offering visitors a safe vantage point to admire the natural bridge and the surrounding landscape

We booked 8 am tour but was informed the morning of that our location only picked up at 930. There was no description of our tour van so we didn't know what to look for. Many tours were leaving at same time. Once we located ours. Great trip and our guide was helpful and informative. The descriptive material should have said a lunch stop was included.

I think this tour is great in that you get to see a lot in one day, but I was disappointed that we got less time at each place than the itinerary stated. At Lake Louise, we got 40 minutes instead of an hour. At Lake Moraine, we had 50 mins instead of an hour. And, at Johnston Canyon, we got 50 minutes instead of 1 1/2 hours. The guide was nice, but I’m disappointed that we had shortened stays at each location.
