Leaning Tower of Pisa
“Welcome to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, one of the world’s most iconic landmarks! Built over 199 years, starting in the 12th century, the tower’s signature tilt is due to soft ground beneath its foundation. Standing nearly 57 meters tall, its unique lean has made it a global architectural marvel. Today, you can climb its 294 steps for panoramic views of Pisa and beyond. This tower is part of the Piazza dei Miracoli and perfectly complements the grand architectural treasures around it. A visit to the Leaning Tower is a must, allowing you to not only witness but feel the history and ingenuity of medieval construction.”
“Next, we arrive at the Baptistery of St. John, the largest baptistery in Italy and another gem of the Piazza dei Miracoli. Completed in 1363, this towering structure blends Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Its circular design and ornate marble exterior are truly captivating, but the real magic happens inside. The acoustics of the Baptistery are world-renowned, creating an echo that gives an almost spiritual atmosphere. The interior is simple yet awe-inspiring, with a central baptismal font and a stunning pulpit by Nicola Pisano. A symbol of rebirth in both faith and artistry, this is a must-visit for architecture lovers.”

It was amazing, very organized, we had a beautiful view from the top of the tower. The price was OK. We stayed there for around an hour. I will recommend to do this.

First, they helped us buy the tickets only to give us the wrong time. They lead you to believe you will have a guided tour. No, you don’t and we waited until past our entrance time because they told us where to meet. Then we start questioning and there is no guided tour. So at this point we are frustrated because time is wasting. But we then had our tickets and proceeded to do our own tours.

Everything is perfect: having tickets, allows you to choose your preferred time, arrive on time and have time to put your bags down for free in the luggage room. Exciting visit! Highly recommended

Lovely experience. Need to be fit to go up the tower! It's a lot of steps, but worth it in the end. It's a weird sensation as the stairs go up at an angle due to the lean of the tower.

Was too late to go into leaning tower but wasn't intending going up that was a waste of money. Think need individual prices or 2 for 1 expensive for what it was. Although the Cathedral was beautiful. It was good to see and off bucket list.

It was well worth the time. Got confused with the whatup app. Did get assistance from a lovely young lady at the museum onsite. It might do well to mention that you can’t take even your purse up the tower. Had no idea and didn’t know where the cloakroom was to leave it there. Other than that, it was a great experience to be there and learn about such a beautiful site.

Enjoyed this event very much. The visit to the tower was very well organised and adequate time given for photos etc. The Cathedral and Baptistry were well worth seeing. The event was easy to book and reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend it.

What a great day, exploring Pisa, climbing the leaning tower and the cathedral! It was wet when we arrived at the leaning tower but we still got to take all the usual photos. It may have been me but I wasn’t very clear about where to take the ticket that had been WhatsApp’d to me. I took it to the ticket desk in the yellow building and they told us to put everything except our phones in the free bag storage next door. Then, about 20 minutes before our ticket time we went and queued at the tower. They let people though in groups every 15 mins so if your ticket time is within 15 mins ask at the front of the line. We had a fab time climbing the tower! You need good sturdy shoes and good balance as none of the stairs are flat! There are great views from the top. Then we went to the cathedral which was also cool. We spent probably 1.5 hours in total and our feet were getting a bit sore so we were glad we hadn’t paid to go into more things on site. Then we walked through Pisa back to the station.
