You will be baking macarons with a macaron master who has been featured on the Cooking Channel. You will receive hands-on training and all the techniques, tips and tricks to create these gourmet treats at home!

Macarons are incredibly popular, pricey and one of the most difficult pastries to master. When I started, it took months of trial and error with the recipe, preparation, baking and temperatures. We limit classes to 10, this ensures our classes highly instructional and completely hands-on. You begin with learning what a great macaron is and then exactly how to create them from scratch. All the tips and tricks and common pitfalls are discussed. The idea and aim is that you should be able to create beautiful macarons at home! We create macarons from the 3 basic ingredients (eggs, almond flour, sugar) and discuss how your macaronage (macaron batter) should look when it is ready to be piped. We move on to how to perfectly pipe your macarons and how they should feel when properly cured and ready for the oven. We then fill our macarons discussing flavors, others types of fill. In all, about 1.5 to 2 hours of solid, professional instruction. Macaron Kit available for purchase - includes: Silicone baking mat, piping tip, macaron piping bag, buttercream piping bag and recipe. Once you sign up, message me and I will have a kit ready the day of your class.

Take the time for some fun indulgence. . A great combination of left and right brain activity in the making of these sweet treats.. All 5 senses are used, but the one that benefits the most is the tasting sense. 😉

Casual and informative fun, seriously delicious results. We learned so much about the precision involved in macaron making. The instruction was easy enough for rank beginners but serious cooks would love the detail oriented instruction as well.

I loved learning how to make macarons in a small group setting. I feel confident I can make them now. Even if you don’t want to make them afterwards, the experience is fun to do with friends or family! The best part was eating them and taking some home as well! I would recommend this fun experience!

A wonderful experience!! Cheryl was extremely knowledgeable about everything macaroons. Her steps were clear and easy to follow, and she made sure everyone was hands-on in making the macaroons. 10/10!!

This was an intimate hands on experience in a beautifully organized outdoor setting. Master Chef is great at explaining the steps and the science behind measurements. This was a birthday experience for my partner and we both had such an amazing time. Oh yeah, and we made amazing macarons!

We had a great experience learning some of the secrets about making macarons! There were only 8 of us participating in the class, so we received good, specialized attention from the chef. We decided that the ones we made in Carmel did not quite live up to the ones we've eaten while traveling in France. That said, the ones we made in Carmel were definitely a treat!
