Admire the grandeur of Machu Picchu, surrounded by stunning natural scenery. Enjoy ample photo opportunities and an enriching experience with your guide during the tour of the archaeological complex. Complete the day exploring Aguas Calientes and its charming artisan markets. The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. You will then travel by private transport for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the train station in Ollantaytambo. You will board a scenic tourist train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), in a journey of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you to continue by bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu. There you will enjoy a guided tour of about 2 hours and 30 minutes, with time to explore and take pictures. Upon completion, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco, arriving at an estimated 9:30 p.m.

5.00A Peruvian friend suggested we contact PeruVida to organize our Cusco tours (in addition to Machu Picchu we also did Manu 2nights/3 days) as she knew the owner, Gladys. Our experience was excellent! Gladys was very responsive, helped with any problems we had immediately (including suggestions for a hospital after one of us broke a foot bone in the jungle!). The guide she organized for Machu Picchu, Mrs. Aide, was superb, knowledgeable, a great photographer and also with enough intuition to give us some space to absorb the atmosphere of that beautiful place.
