On this six-hour tour you can tailor an itinerary with the help of your local guide/driver. You can choose the different areas you want to visit. The City of Funchal, the Fishing Village of Câmara de Lobos, the west sea cliffs of Cabo Girão, the unique Fajã dos Padres, the hill side village of Monte, the east coast cliffs of Garajau, the Botanical Garden, or even the breathtaking mountain views of Nuns Valley are all possible options for your tour itinerary.

Historic Center of Funchal
You can choose to visit Funchal city, learn about its history, visit some of its iconic landmarks and areas, like the XV century Old Town, the Sé Cathedral, its famous “Mercado dos Lavradores” (farmer’s market) or “Fortaleza do Pico”. Your guide/driver will also take throughout the back streets to places that only a true local knows.

The lush hill side village of Monte at 550 meters above sea level, has lovely gardens, fantastic views and its where the famous “Taboggan Ride” is found.

5.00Most wonderful experience and tour guide. Best tour and so informative. We saw so much and really had fun even in the rain. She personalized the tour so we saw so much. We bragged to our cruise friends about our tuktuk excursion. Highly recommend!

5.00Daniella was a great guide and tyke tuk driver. Friendly funny we just enjoyed her company visiting places outside Funchal like Cato lobo and the skyway. If you want a real treat in a guide go Daniella

5.00Our tour guide John took us to all the best spots — from the skywalk at Cabo Girão to Fajã dos Padres with its breathtaking cable car ride, scenic tunnels, sea caves, and the restaurant by the ocean. The views were unforgettable, and the TukTuk made it all extra fun and personal. Highly recommended!

5.00Good enthusiastic guide. Lovely route and amazing scenery. Unfortunately I think we'd got one of the older 'vehicles' in the fleet and it struggled with some of the inclines

5.00Was a great ride to places all over Funchal and its neighbouring districts and towns. Our guide was really knowledable about everything we were asking and a great guide not only for history, buildings and facilities, but also for the local fauna and flora and even their history and origins. His German was very good what was a big plus for our daughter, and when needed he could fluently switch to perfect English to explain some more details. Would repeat the trip anytime.

5.00We enjoyed travelling in the Tuxxi. Margarida was a wonderful guide. She consulted with us about our interests and we planned our tour together So much to see… of course we couldn’t do it all in the limited time but we are very satisfied that we got a good introduction to Madeira and hope to come back one day.

5.00This was the perfect way to see much of Madeira in one day! We had 6 hours by ourselves with Daniela, who was our favorite guide of all time! She was so much fun and made for so many memories while visiting her island!! She will always be our one day family member!
