Excellent museum with lots to see and do for both adults and kids. Son loved the interactive parts although only disappointment was we couldn’t afford the foden signed shirt, maybe some day

The Museum is a jewel in the lovely Exchange Plaza in Manchester. The architecture is also amazing. There is just soooo much to do and it feels kinda overwhelming to be there but once you are settled in it's the best Museum you could visit in this incredible city! There is also a play section that you can visit and there is a penalty shootout with a virtual goalkeeper(it's 3£ for 3 shots but it's worth it). In general it's so fun to learn about the history of football and how it has evolved to be this wonderful and emotional game it is today... Just legendary!

Seeing I have a Walker and got there by taxi, it was quite a walk for me, got near the Entrance, and my knees were aching, they both came and helped me to the Entrance. Later on I needed to get help to get up from the Bench, the man who was very very helpful was telling me about the memorabilia in the glass cabinets, Unfortunately I needed to go toilet, then I had somewhere else to go, so he offered to take me there, there is a glass elevator, if you don't like these, going there may be a problem, but I held on tight to the bar

I have visited this museum and you will find many finds of English football with many anecdotes and interactive games. Those who come to Manchester recommend going there.

Visiting because of a soccer mad 10-year old, this was easy to get to and a close walk from our hotel (Treehouse). Very well organised and spacious, we walked slowly to read all of the history items which had good interspersion of interactive elements - there's a fair bit of reading so adults are slow and kids are just looking at things - so the interactive elements is good for them while we read! One of the staff told us the whole story personally about Pickles the dog. Our son's mind was blown when we got to the top level though and he could go crazy in the virtual reality and all the physical challenges. The staff member who was on the additional paid challenge to kick for goals was so kind and interactive with both my son and my husband. It wasn't too busy and we really didn't have to wait to use any of the challenge rooms - we went at 3pm (closes at 5pm) so not sure if that's why it was a bit quieter maybe. Really enjoyable way to spend a few hours if you're a fan of sport and soccer.

We visited the National Football Museum in Manchester with our teenager and it was a hit from start to finish! The exhibitions are both exciting and interactive, so there’s plenty to see and try – from historic football shirts and trophies to fun games where you can test your own football skills. The staff was friendly and welcoming and we felt really welcome. The best part was that the museum manages to appeal to both football fans and those who are just curious. Our teens especially loved the interactive activities and the many cool stories about famous players. The location in the heart of Manchester makes it easy to find, and we think the entrance is very reasonable for the experience you get. Highly recommended for families – especially with older children and teenagers who love sports and action. We leave with lots of good memories (and pictures!).

Modern museum with play areas. Admission is expensive compared to the duration of the visit, little material to discover. Pass your way

Museum that already fascinates you to see it from outside. Inside there is the history of English football, with interactive activities and above all the possibility of kicking penalties

We arrived just before a tour was due to start. Andy was very knowledgeable and the tour lasted just over an hour. We spent around 2.5 hours in the museum altogether. It was very interesting and there was lots to see. Tickets are valid for a year so you can come back again.
