The mangrove forest is one of the most vital and astounding ecosystems in the world. Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica. Covering thousands of acres of protected forest, this amazing biodiversity is home to a large number of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects.

Our experienced guides will take you on an unforgettable boat tour through the channels of the mangrove forest, far away from civilization. You can discover an abundance of species native to the area such as white-faced monkeys, anteaters, boas, iguanas, birds and thousands of colorful crabs.

My kids and I had lots of fun. Johnny knew a lot about the animals and vegetation we saw. The captain stopped when there was something cool to see. We saw monkeys, a crocodile, iguanas and bats!
John was great! Learned a lot.

I had a great time! I learned a lot from our tour guide, Jonathan. He was very knowledgeable on the various animals and explained things very well. Had great energy, and a great mood. Overall wonderful experience!

Great trip, very informative guide. Our big worry is about feeding the monkeys to encourage them onto the boat. It's great to see them close up but our experience in Thailand and Bali is that feeding them will create expectations and aggression. It's also bad for their health and wellbeing . Please don't follow these countries as it will end badly

Excellent experience ; lots of animals to see. Very detailed and caring tour guide. Johnny was our tour guide and he was amazing. We saw lots of plants and animals; crocodiles, sloth, monkeys, birds, ants, bats, snakes, iguanas, trees, bamboos, leaves, and more.

Lovely boat tour around the mangroves seeing lots of wildlife with our very knowledgeable guide, Jonny! He gave very interesting facts about not only the wildlife but the plants too.

Johnny was an amazing guide. Spotted and showed us so many animals and birds. Even a crocodile and sloth. And gave a lot of information about different plants and animals.

We had a beautiful time on this tour with excellent guides and a competent boatman. We saw white-face monkeys (they jumped onto the boat!), cayman, vipers, boas, Jesus lizards (the ones that run on the water), iguana, herons, hawks, and various other tropical birds. The trip concluded in a local style restaurant with delicious Costa Rican food and vegan options. 10/10 would do it again!

Kenneth was our guide, we explained in detail and very kind the species of animals and plants we saw on the tour. We attended the tour at 1:00 pm. We could see alligator, snakes, sloths, birds, and goats. Good experience.
