Montjuic Castle

Bof. There is nothing to visit on the site. Historic reconstruction, open room. Only interesting thing, the exceptional views of the city and the port.

We could not understand the guide. We were very disappointed the lack the guides English. He did not provide clear descriptions.

This was a fort. You don't need to buy tickets ahead of time if you are not going during high season. We went in October and there was no line until we were leaving around 1 p.m. It is an interesting fort but not spectacular.

Getting to the castle is much more strenuous than said. Extremely steep incline and steps to go up. There is really nothing there to see but the panoramic view of the city.

The Castle and the old Fort were well worth our time to see. This is a self-guided tour, and there was no line to buy tickets when we entered. You don't need to purchase tickets in advance - go when you want to.

I spent 12€ for nothing. In the castle there is only a very superficial exposure and the only decent thing was the view of the city (but it was not worth the money spent).
To avoid, overrated!

Bad experience! The entrance cost us 36 euros (even my 13-year-old son pays as an adult, incomprehensible) not to see anything. The view of the city from the terrace is partial, you can see only the commercial port with containers. The only area to visit was made up of 4 small rooms with generic information about the castle (much better Wikipedia). Too bad I didn't read the review of my compatriot, I would have saved a few euros. You can climb Montjuic without the entrance, because the view is the same, but personally I think there are many other sites in Barcelona that deserve more than this!

I thought there would be more to see at the castle but it is still cool to go in the cable car and walk around the grounds. My teens liked seeing the dungeons.
