This tour is a multi-day’s tour that started from Ubud, Bali in 3 days 2 night. We will be visiting Ijen Crater/Mount Ijen and Mount Bromo. This trip is highly recommended for outdoor enthusiasts who loved hiking, trekking or taking a photo of the landscapes. For accommodation, we will staying in Banyuwangi town before trekking to Ijen Crater, which is Banyuwangi town is one of the best place to stay before you head to Ijen Crater/Mount Bromo. For Mount Bromo, we will be staying in Cemoro Village that is the closest village to Mount Bromo area. And the last, we will be transferring you to Surabaya area (hotels, train station, or airport).

Update of Ijen Crater: We are excited to inform you that Ijen Crater is now open to the public again! Visitors can enjoy the stunning beauty of the crater, including the world-famous blue fire phenomenon, which is now visible from a distance of 500 meters for safety reasons. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please adhere to the following guidelines: 1. Follow designated paths and safety instructions. 2. Use protective masks due to the presence of sulfuric gases.
For the last day, if you want to go back to Bali again after the trip, there will be additional cost 850.000 IDR, please let us know earlier so we can organize the transfer.

Bali to Ijen Crater will start at 10:00 AM (Balinese timezone), our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Ubud, Bali. Then you will drive from Ubud, Bali to Gilimanuk Ferry Port and it will take about ±4-5 hours’ drive. Arriving in Gilimanuk Ferry Port, you will take the ferry for about an hour to reach Ketapang Ferry Port (Java side). Afterward, we will escort you to a local restaurant for having lunch then continue our trip to your hotel in Banyuwangi area for a pleasurable stay before you do trekking in Mount Ijen Midnight Tour.

The tour will be started at 1:00 am from your hotel in Banyuwangi, the journey will take about an hour until you reach Paltuding area. Paltuding is a start point for the travelers who want to hike Ijen Crater. From Paltuding to peak of Ijen Crater takes about 1,5 – 2 hours depending on your fitness. And to reach blue fire point you need to go down into a crater, and this is the most dangerous part of the trip, please always listen to our guide. It will take about 30-40 minutes to go down to the blue fire point. NOTE: Please bring your luggage too because we will go directly to Mount Bromo area after Ijen Tour. In the blue fire point you will be not allowed to stay longer because it has ton of poisonous gas that could come anytime. After enjoying the blue fire phenomenon, you will be escorted to the view point where you can see the whole sulfuric lake of Ijen Crater. The lake is one of the biggest sulfuric lake in Indonesia and the color is turquoise. So, it will be super nice if you can take photo here. Around 7:00 am, you will be invited to go back to Paltuding area, for having breakfast, and bit of relax and go to Mount Bromo for about 5-6 hours away.

The tour will be started at 3:30 am from your hotel in Mount Bromo area, we will be use a jeep for roaming around Mount Bromo due to the steep and bumpy road here. From hotel/homestay to sunrise point (kingkong hill) is about 40 minutes’ drive. The sunrise here is about 5:20 am and please listen to your guide, he will find the good spot for you. The sunrise here is so special because you will see Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru, Mount Batok and the village where you are staying in one frame. So it will be picturesque picture. After enjoying the magnificent view here, we will be moving to our jeep and go to Sea of Sand for cruising with the jeep before we do trekking to the peak of Mount Bromo. Taking photo with a jeep is a must here. After enjoying the sea of sand, we will be started to trek about 45 minutes to the peak of Mount Bromo, the path of trekking is good but dusty and there are some shit of horses here, please cover your nose and face with your personal items such as mask and sun glasses. When you reached the peak of Mount Bromo, you will see the hole of the most active volcano of Mount Bromo with its roar. Sometimes the gases are so strong, so you will not have allowed to stay here too long. Please listen the guide. About 8:30 am, you will be required to go back to our jeep then drive back to our hotel for having breakfast, take a shower, packing your bag and drive about 3-4 hours away to reach Surabaya area( Airport, Hotel, Train Station).

5.00We had a great trip to Mount Bromo and Kawah Ijen! 10/10! Our guide Raafi was super nice and we learned a lot from him and he answered all our curious questions. We also always felt super safe, wether it was at the blue flame and hiking in the dark or in the car with the driver (Aji). His music choice in the car was also perfect to occupy a bit of the long car rides. We would definitely recommend this tour and especially some days and adventures with Raafi to everyone. Everything was perfectly organized, from the pick-up at the airport to the good-bye at our next accommodation. He also helped us find a sim-card and atms and whatever we needed. We’re sad that those days are over but happy for the memories!

5.00Our trip to Bromo and Ijen with Java Adventure Trail was much more than just an excursion: it was a life-changing adventure. From the very beginning, Yogui and Gufron showed flawless organization, taking care of every detail of the itinerary. They were always attentive to our needs, giving us a sense of safety and trust at all times. What impressed us the most was their local knowledge: they knew exactly the best spots to enjoy the landscapes and avoid the crowds. Thanks to them, we witnessed the sunrise at Bromo almost in solitude and later experienced the magic of the Ijen crater calmly and with great respect for the environment. When it was time to say goodbye, we couldn’t hold back tears of emotion for everything we had lived and for what they shared with us during these days. If possible when booking, we highly recommend asking for Yogui as guide and Gufron as driver. You won’t regret it.

5.00Doing the Bromo and Ijen tour with Java Adventure Trail felt like traveling with lifelong friends. Yogui and Gufron made us feel comfortable and welcome from the very first moment. Always attentive, smiling, and with a great sense of humor. During the hike, Yogui stayed by our side the whole time, giving us calm and motivation, which made even the toughest parts feel much easier. They also took care of all the logistics: comfortable transportation, well-planned schedules, and useful recommendations along the way. Thanks to them, we could enjoy everything to the fullest without having to worry about a thing. The sunrise over Bromo and the blue flames of Ijen will remain etched in our memory forever. Our farewell was filled with tears of emotion for everything we lived with them, because they truly gave us something very special. 5.00If you’re looking for a reliable agency to visit Bromo and Ijen, Java Adventure Trail is the best choice. Yogui and Gufron were extraordinary from the very first contact. Punctual, well-organized, and highly professional, but above all, incredibly kind and approachable. They explained the history, culture, and geology of each site with passion, which turned the tour into an educational experience as well as a fun adventure. You can tell they truly love what they do, and their positive energy is contagious. Our farewell was very emotional; we left with tears in our eyes, grateful for having shared this journey with them. 5.00We had an amazing experience in Indonesia. The tour including Mount Bromo and the Blue Fire of Ijen was absolutely magical. The landscapes are breathtaking and this is truly an activity you shouldn’t miss. Everything was very well organized. We didn’t waste much time and could really enjoy every stop. Our guide Aria was fantastic: always smiling, friendly, and super helpful. The driver was also excellent, driving very safely and making us feel comfortable the whole way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover these natural wonders in the best conditions. So glad we did it!
