After picking up all guests at their homes, our tour starts at 7 am, we will go via the Calera to appreciate a panoramic view of the north of Bogota in the viewpoint, we will contemplate the beautiful landscapes of the Sabana de la Capital, then we will arrive at our first destination: The Colonial Town of Guatavita at 830 am, where we will be for 45 minutes, there we walk and appreciate the imposing white houses, with clay roofs and stone floors. Every corner of this beautiful place will be ideal for taking spectacular photos. Laguna de Guatavita
To reach our second destination, we will take our vehicle and after 35 minutes of travel we will arrive at the entrance of La Laguna de Guatavita, it is a guided tour in a narutal reserve, a Spanish-speaking guide will take you for a walk after two hours, he will explain the ancient rituals of the Muisca culture and take you to contemplate the Impressive Laguna de Guatavita located on top of a mountain at almost 3000 meters high. If any of the members of the group wants translation in English, they must pay at the entrance of our bilingual driver who will translate the tour for you. 4.00The attractions of tour; visiting the town of Guatavita, hiking up to see the magnificent view of Guatavita Lagoon and the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, was such as amazing opportunity. It was great to do two contrasting experiences in one day, first the Guatavita Lagoon which was over 3000 meters above sea level, and the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral which was 120 meters below sea level. However, this is the cheapest tour for a reason. Unfortunately, we were the last to be picked up and got the worst seats on the bus. I hit my head on the metal luggage rack several times as we were approaching Guatavita lake as the road was becoming rough. It could have been a serious injury, but thankfully it wasn't. To avoid further mishaps, I spent most of the trip with my head in my lap, which was really uncomfortable. I would recommend to sell these seats to only children or to remove the luggage racks. Our guide was bubbly and always helpful in answering any queries we had. Her upbeat attitude was a focal point in making the trip enjoyable. The restaurant we had our lunch was lovely as well, with a warm atmosphere. The quaint town of Guatavita was charming, with picturesque views. Going up the trails, soaking in the nature surrounding you as you approached Guatavita Lake was undoubtedly a highlighted moment of the trip. Overall, excluding the seating accommodations in the Bus, it was a day well spent.

5.00Our tour guide was amazing. Tatiana was very knowledgeable and took care of everything we need during the toor. Our driver Giovanni was very good driver also.. The places that we visited were all amazing. Take note that it will 14 hrs tour but it was worth.

5.00Very well organized tour and worth every cent. The guide Tatiana was amazing! Bilingual in Spanish and English, her upbeat mannerisms and perfect English made the tour enjoyable and informative. Be prepared for a long day. Picked up at 7:50am from my hotel and got back close to 9pm. They have pre arranged lunch set up at a restaurant after the lagoon but you are not required to eat there. Overall well worth it and had a great day out!

3.00Tatiana was an excellent guide. The trip to guatavita and the lake was very good - worth a visit and would recommend. I was very disappointed with zippaquira salt cathedral - extremely expensive at 125000 cop the equivalent of entry to the Louvre! They just figured out a way to monetize an old mine. Everything was very random, no cathedral or religious feel, many shops selling different trinkets, food, spa. Nothing really to see and admire. You just get to randomly explore an abandoned mine. The food at zippaquira was also mediocre and expensive for the quality. The trip was on schedule and well managed.
