Private cooking class with your host Nico
Local Argentinian Wine
Meet your host Nico at his cozy home in Villa Ortuzar - a vibrant and emerging food district of Buenos Aires with an old-school Buenos Aires feel. Begin your hands-on Buenos Aires Italian cooking class with a glass of Argentinian red wine in Nico's small kitchen. During your cooking class, you will learn to make a starter and pasta with two types of fillings. You might learn to make ravioli filled with homemade ricotta and basil with lemon zest in a sage butter and braised meat with citrus in a classic tomato sauce or other types of pasta such as tonarelli alla carbonara, gnudi, cavatelli or gnocchi. After cooking, enjoy your creations at the dining table, accompanied by two glasses of wine, followed by a homemade dessert. Nico is a musician and composer who like many Argentinians comes from a family of Italian immigrants to whom food is a central part of life. He learned to cook with his mother and grandma, preparing Sunday lunches for the whole family. With Nico, you will not only learn how to make pasta but also its cultural significance - ask Nico why gnocchi is eaten on the 29th of the month! Your menu varies seasonally.

I travelled with my sister. We both had such a great time with Nico and Pilar! Nico is full of passion for cooking and loves sharing his story. He told us how he learned to make pasta from his Italian mother when he was just five years old, and you can really feel the love he puts into everything. We learned how to make traditional Argentine pasta from scratch, and the whole experience was very authentic and personal. Nico explained everything clearly and made it fun and easy to follow. Pilar was also lovely and made us feel right at home. It was more than just a cooking class—it felt like spending time with old friends. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy great food and learn about local culture in a warm and friendly setting!
