Meet your local guide at Frognerseteren Metro Station (arrive 10–15 minutes early) and wander peaceful woodland trails while hearing stories about Norwegian history, culture, and everyday life. Vettakollen is a popular viewpoint in the Oslo forest, only a short hike from the city. From the top, guests will enjoy wide panoramic views over the Oslofjord, the islands, and the city skyline below. On clear days, you can see all the way across the fjord and deep into the surrounding forests. The trail passes through peaceful woodland before opening up to the rocky summit, making it a perfect mix of nature and scenery. During the hike, we’ll pause by a scenic mountain lake tucked in the forest, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Here, we’ll set up a cozy bonfire and make traditional Norwegian waffles together. Grill your own waffle over the open flames and top it with classic favorites like rømme, sweet jam, and brunost – a warm, delicious treat that’s as much about the experience as the taste.
