When we got to our meeting spot, I was a little skeptical. It’s not the prettiest area; however, once our tour guide, Sarah, started the tour, we were pleasantly surprised. Sarah took us through little streets, providing us with historical information about the enchanting bohemian neighborhood. The way we walked up didn’t make it seem like we were going up hill, which we were. We stopped along the way for our promised croissant, then continued our journey, stopping to see the building where Van Gough and his brother lived and the small vineyard that exists in Montmartre. The highlight of our tour, as well as the end, was at Le Sacre-Coeur. We took the opportunity to go in the church to see the beautiful stained glass and statues., then explore the area on our own.

Our tour guide was great and had so much information to share. She really met our expectations well. I would recommend this tour to anybody who wants to know more about this area of Paris. I especially liked that We did not take the tour through the touristy parts of this neighborhood. Instead, we did a less traveled route with very interesting history.
