This tour features a selection and variety of the best culinary delights that you will find in 5 different places in Porto. Walking through the most picturesque streets and the best places of its old town, you will discover the history of cuisine and traditional dishes as well as hear stories of some owners of "taverns" and more typical establishments.

TASTINGS:

Special coffee and a Custard Tart

Cod Cake and a glass of Red Wine.

Smoked meat, cheeses, bread, olives and a glass of Douro Red Wine.

Bifana (traditional pork spicy sandwich) and a beer.

Minimum numbers of 2 people apply for the public tour. The places visited for the tastings may vary according to the group size on the day of the tour.

Dietary Requirements & Allergies: This tour is vegetarian friendly, but please note substitutions are not available for every dish. You must notify us of any dietary requirements prior to your tour date, same-day requests cannot be guaranteed.

Alcohol Policy: Legal drinking age in Portugal is 18.

This is a child friendly tour. Children ages 1-3 years are permitted to join this tour free of charge. Children from 4-14 years are permitted on this tour at half price listed above. Please inform us at the time of booking if you’ll be bringing a child with you.

All customers with reservation must check in 15min prior to the tour start.

This tour operates in the rain or any other wather condition, so please check the weather conditions and dress accordantly.

Our guide was knowledgeable and her English was impeccable. The food we sampled was delicious and it's history was thoroughly explained. The wines and port were amazing and local beer was even included.

We had a GREAT time in the food tour with Fabio. He was very nice, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and took us to some places we wouldn’t have tried or found on our own. The food was great and I really appreciated the explanations of how it fits into Portuguese history, life and customs from a true local. Definitely recommend

Igor made this a great experience! He is very and dynamic, without making it overwhelming. It was a really fun tour and we learned a lot about Porto’s wine and traditions, the origins of pastels da nata, the Bolhâo neighborhood and its market, etc. I also want to acknowledge the team at the reception who was very helpful when we asked to reschedule our tour because of the poor weather conditions.

This tour takes your tastebuds to the places tourists don’t normally reach! Lucas our guide was faultless, enthusiastic, professional and courteous. His knowledge of the places we visited, the food we tasted and the wine, cheese, charcuterie and port we consumed was excellent value for money and deserved of 5*. The stories from his growing up and grandparents cooking etc. in his childhood endeared him to the group. Great bunch of people on our tour and would not hesitate doing again if in Porto next time. Salu Lucas!
