Had a great tour with Fatima as our guide while in Ephesus during our stop on the Celebrity Equinox. Fatima was born and raised in Ephesus, which was fantastic—we were able to learn not only about the archaeological history of the city but also about some of the best modern-day spots to visit during our short stint in port. We were picked up in a spacious, brand-new van right at the port, then hit all the iconic sites before the large, ship-organized cruise tours arrived. That meant we beat nearly all the crowds and were able to get great pictures at all the top tourist spots. Highly recommend this tour if you’re short on time but want to learn a lot and see the whole area while in port. 10/10!

Our private tour of Ephesus was an amazing experience. We were met ON TIME, at the port, by Bugra, our guide for the day. We walked to an area (not too far) where we met our driver, in a VERY nice Mercedes van. Since most cruise excursions go to Ephesus first, Bugra took us to the Basilica of St. John first, to avoid the crowds. That was an excellent decision! Then on to Temple of Artemis, and then to an authentic Turkish Carpet Coop, which wasn't on the tour schedule but turned out to be fun and instructive and the Coop supports and teaches women to weave the rugs. Also not on our schedule, but apparently on Bugra's, was lunch, which we would have had to pay 15 euros PP for. We politely declined but it did seem to cause some consternation. Then we made our way to Ephesus, a huge area with so much to see. We highly recommend Bugra as a guide!! Well worth the price we paid.

Josh was a great guide, so educated and knowledgeable that he was able to give us an in-depth tour of the Ephesus ruins. He had a clean, new van and a friendly driver, and we also enjoyed visiting a place where rug weaving and silk spinning was demonstrated.

Fatima was a wonderful tour guide as we explored Ephesus. She was so friendly and kind and shared so much about the history of Ephesus as well as the culture, food and the lifestyle of the people there. We were very appreciative of how well Fatima and her husband kept us updated on our meeting place and timing, even when our ship’s schedule changed. We enjoyed touring the Basilica of John as well as the ruins of Ephesus and learning all about the history there as well as the lifestyles of the people during that time. We also enjoyed learning and watching how they made Turkish rugs. At the same location we were able to enjoy a farm to table meal that was fresh and delicious. We had a wonderful tour and we were very pleased with Fatima and her company and it made for a great memory that we will have for a lifetime.
