On this tour we will get on the road to the mystic mountain of Montserrat. While being in the car, the guide will tell you some interesting stories about Catalonia, Barcelona and Monserrat. You will get prepared to understand the heritage you will discover during the tour. The Rocky Massif of Montserrat has been declared as Natural Park in 1987, and characterised by the rounded shape of its peaks. During the tour, you will discover this awe-inspiring natural monument and learn about its importance to the Catalan people. This magnificient 4000-foot wonder is easily recognizable by its ''serrated'' top from which it got his name.

Montserrat is an incredibly beautiful place to visit! You should not miss going there if you are visiting barcelona. The winery tour was fabulous and we enjoyed it greatly. Our guide, Nuri, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and full of energy. We had a fabulous time!

In all our 3 week travels this was the best tour, best guide of all. Javi was a great guide and teacher. He also had us laughing most of the time. He joked that he was being sent to jail for pickpocketing but the judge said he would get out of jail if he would be a tour guide for one year. He had us so engaged in the laughing but more so in the learning. We had a great time driving through the countryside and really seeing the "back roads". If you book this just do the Montserrat part and skip the wine tasting.

We had such an incredible day on our private tour to Montserrat and the Cava winery with Hengmeh and Juan Carlos! From the very beginning, they took amazing care of us every step of the way. Hengmeh is so knowledgeable and shared so much history and interesting facts to make the entire journey truly enjoyable. She was thoughtful enough to move our start time earlier so we could beat the weekend traffic and avoid the crowds — which meant no lines, no waiting, just a smooth and relaxed experience. She even went ahead and booked us a table at a local restaurant (impossible to get into without a reservation!) so we could enjoy a proper Catalan meal after Montserrat. The Cava winery was stunning — a beautiful vineyard with so much history, and the tour was both informative and relaxed. Both Hengmeh and Juan Carlos made the whole day so comfortable and special for us. I would 100% recommend booking a private tour if you can — it’s absolutely worth it for the personal touch. Hengmeh is simply the best: warm, smart, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best day possible.

We had an absolutely incredible private tour of Montserrat and a family-run winery in the Penedès region, and our guide Ramon made the day truly special. From the moment he greeted us, Ramon’s warm and friendly personality put us at ease. He was full of fascinating facts—sharing the rich history of the Montserrat monastery and pointing out details we never would have noticed on our own. Ramon’s pacing was perfect: we never felt rushed, yet we covered so much. He seamlessly handled all the logistics, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views and peaceful atmosphere. The afternoon at the winery was the perfect complement. We loved learning about the local cava and tasting the different vintages while taking in the beautiful vineyard scenery. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Spain. If you’re looking for a private tour that’s both informative and genuinely enjoyable, we can’t recommend Ramon highly enough!

We had the pleasure of taking a private tour of Monserrat and a small local winery. This was our last day in Barcelona and Alex could not have made it any more perfect. He picked us up in a fancy blue Mercedes and proceeded to show us an amazing adventure. We got great local history, shared stories about our lives and took us to places that were off the usual tourist paths. He was funny, spontaneous and a great person. We would book this private trip again in a heartbeat!
